We have one final project to share from our Naturals Mixed Media Guest Designer Liz Hicks. Been thinking about something to brighten up the season? We hope that this idea will inspire you to get out your inks, paints, mists, glitter and other art supplies to alter and add our Naturals to many of your own projects. We are so impressed again with how Liz used our Naturals in her project. But first, let's finish getting to know Liz a little before we take a look at her canvas idea...
LYB: Do you have a favorite adhesive?
LYB: Describe your style.
LH: Funky free and eclectic chic.
LYB: Do you use any tools that are not specifically designed for scrapbooking?
LH: Pliers, wire, beading, sewing machine… nothing is off limits.
Altered Canvas by Liz Hicks
I used the layered canvas flowers and pulled them apart as well as the canvas letters too. The project is watercolors and Inks and the for the outer edge I used masking fluid and white paint to create the illusion of an emulsified edge, similar to that in film development. The inks I used were Higgins, Clearsnap and Splash of Color.

So bright and cheerful! Although mixed media still scares me, she makes it look easy. That's talent!
