Need some more project ideas? You have come to the right place... Today our Biker Chicks want to show you how well our Winterings collection coordinates with our Naturals collection.
Winterings Card by Biker Chick Suzanne Sergi
I created two cards perfect for the holiday season. It does not snow where I live. However, it does not mean cards cannot be created with winter on my mind. I used the burlap stickers as the main embellishments on the following cards.
On the friendship card, I used the scallop burlap sticker as is. I simply layered it onto the pleated medallion found in the papercrafting kit. To add a winter feel to the card, I added glitter, and a few star embellishments along the bottom of the card. A few stitches along the sides will keep everything nicely tucked inside.

On the second card, I created my own medallion embellishment. I did take apart one of the burlap stickers, to use the burlap accent as a layering piece in between the doily punchout, and snowflake diecut.
I pulled the sticker embellishment apart gently, and now have two embellishments to use on other crafts. I love snowflakes during this time of year, and adding a bit of glitter to the top of the large snowflake diecut to complete this wintery card.

Winterings Altered Blocks by Biker Chick Liz Qualman
I thought it would be fun to create some winter/birthday blocks to celebrate all of the babies that are born at this time of year. These blocks in particular celebrate today's special date and honor all of the munchkins born today.
I picked these 3" blank board blocks up at Archivers. They are so easy to cover. I chose three patterns for each block from the Winterings 6 x 6 patterned paper pad. Then I cut the coordinating patterns into 3 x 3 inch squares. I used some chalk ink to color the seams of the blocks and the edges of the paper to make a transition between the different patterns.
LYB makes these great clear word stickers and I added this sentiment using two of them. Then I trimmed one of the calendar stickers, backed it with patterned paper and circled the date. The Layered Burlap Stickers are a great accent with the felt and burlap. I just added a bit of a clear cut sticker.
LYB has released some new alphabets in cork, canvas, wood and burlap as part of our Nauruals collection. Aren't they beautiful? You can find them at Michaels and Joann Fabrics. We will add them to our website soon for direct ordering from us... I combined them with the Wnterings Journal Card and Fresh Verse Sticker.
Amother one of the Layered Burlap Sticker in the Winterings collection. I tucked a little Clear Cut Sticker snowflake and Fresh Verse Sticker into the design.
These were fun to make and did not take long. They also do not require a lot of different elements from the Winterings collection and there will be plenty of product left for second set of blocks or something else.
