We thought it would be fun to show you some of our Biker Chicks' favorite elements from the Little Yellow Bicycle collections, so today Robbie and Corrie have a couple of great ideas for clustering Chipboard and Clear Cut Shapes together using our brand new Winterings collection.
Winterings Layout by Biker Chick Robbie Herring
I think the thing I like most about layering chipboard with clear-cuts is the difference in dimensions. The clear-cuts add a subtle look, while the chipboard is thicker and fits perfectly over the clear-cuts.
Additionally, adding the clear-cuts to the top of chipboard is terrific too. Because it's made of transparency, it will stand the test of time in your scrapbooks without bending.
Ideas: Why not add similar elements together as I did for the ice cycles on the top right? I used a light gray twine on the clear-cuts to compliment the subtlety and a darker blue with the chipboard to make it the focus of the grouping.
I love mixed and layered titles. I chose to layer the word winter in both the chipboard package and the clear-cut package. The different colors and sizes makes for a bit more interest to a simple title.

I coupled/featured the chipboard shapes and the clear cut shapes on this layout. It was so easy to do since these are two of my absolute favorite LYB embellishments and because they just work so perfectly together.
