Introducing Once Upon a Christmas Guest Designer Shari Carroll

We are so excited to introduce Guest Designer Shari Carroll. She is an inspiring cardmaker and we think her ideas will be perfect this month as you, me and everyone else tries to get our holiday cards created and in the mail. LYB: What is your ‘go to’ embellishment?
SC: Most of the time I grab hemp twine as my final embellishment, I'm known for doing a little double bow. Another go to embellishment is Accent pearls... I just love them!

LYB: Do you prefer cardstock or patterned paper?
SC: I'm a sucker for pattern paper, I might be considered a hoarder... lol Can't get enough of the stuff!!!

LYB: What kind of music gets you in the scrappin’ mood?
SC: I'm an old rocker, I have a collection of 70's and 80's rock that gets me going. But when a good Michael Jackson song comes on I really kick into high gear.

I love layering pieces, this collection allowed me to use transparencies, tags, chipboard and embellishments together to create a pleasant arrangement. One thing that makes the layers of a card really come to lif is using foam dots or dimensional tape.
