Guest Designer Kimberly Neddo has another great Makin' the Grade project to share. She has done such a great job of documenting some of her daughter's school memories, but let's have Kimberly tell you all about it after we share just a little bit more about her...
LYB: Are you a neat scrapbooker or is your space a mess?
KN: I make a HUGE mess while I scrapbook, but have to clean it up after every project before I can start on another.
LYB: Do you have a favorite adhesive?
KN: American Craft is by far my favorite adhesive!
LYB: What’s the oddest embellishment you’ve ever used on a page?
KN: Chicken wire. I stamped with it once.
I LOVE to work with enlarged photographs. For this layout, I chose to convert the photograph to a black and white image to make the colors in the papers and embellishments pop! :)
I really love working with patterned papers and using as many as possible, with out over-doing it on a page. I created a fun border across the bottom edge like a large arrow pointing up to my focal point of the page, which is the photograph and Title. Visually, I like to create a triangle with embellishments, to help guide the viewers eye around the page, yet keep their focus on the photograph.
I really love the cork board embellishments…they are so perfect for anything having to do with school, or teenage kids. I find that it's a must to have in my kids rooms to save the walls! Ha! :)
Thank you so much for stopping by.
