We have long admired the work of LYB fan Beth Hallgren and were so happy when she applied to be a cycling team member. Her designs never disappoint and we love how she uses our papers and embellishments and especially today with our Escape Collection. Let's have Beth tell you a little more about her projects...
Bright cheery colors are right up my alley, so I fell in love with The Escape collection instantly! We rarely travel but when we do it's always to sunny Florida. My In-laws have a home there and we can find so much to do.
My first layout features the "Fun-O-Meter", it was perfect for these photos of my family taking a break at Marie Selby Gardens in Sarasota Florida. In typical fashion, they were not cooperating, hence the title Not Bad.
I love to layer and it was heaven to have so many embellishments to work with! The decorative edged cardstock made a great base (I chose to ignore the banners at the bottom) then layered the sunny yellow cardstock on top and topped it off with some stitching.
I think I added a litttle of everything in this collection to my page! The 6x6 decorative edged cardstock, banners and flowers from the paper crafting kit, a ticket, flag, stick pin, clearcuts, felt camera and finished with a sticker!
My second layout features some photos I took of my kids when we visited Busch Gardens on a previous vacation.
The red canvas and layered sticker cars were the perfect embellishments to accent the red Range Rover.
The canvas Off We Go banner made a serendipitous title. I'm enamored with rosettes right now so I was thrilled with the paper crafting kit. I made an additional rosette, whitewashed it with paint and added the 3D sticker to top it off. The border and vellum stickers helped balance out the layout.
My final project is an altered picture frame. I really wanted to accent one of our family photos, since there are so few of them and ever fewer with me in them! The layered mat attracted me to this frame.
I was able to create so much dimension with the chipboard and clear cuts! I used the vellum border to ground my cluster of chipboard, felt and stickers.
I hope you feel inspired to create your own projects with The Escape collection and thank you for stopping by to see mine! A big thank you to Little Yellow Bicycle for choosing me to be on The Escape Cycling Team!
Please visit Beth's blog Positively Passionate About... for more of her wonderful work.
Also we are looking for Cycling Team Members for our Makin' the Grade Team. Please the post from yesterday for more details.
Happy Weekend!

I just love Escape! Had to chuckle at the first page - that is SO like my kids when a photo op happens. :)
The little red car+flag is perfect for the Off We Go page. Love the rosettes!
Thanks for sharing these awesome projects!

I love these LOs. The humor of the first one is great - besides the LO itself being so well done. Your rosettes are great! I am a big fan of them too. I really like all of the color I have been seening!

I totally agree with loving these bright colors! Escape looks wonderful for scrapping vacations with kids! I am so glad to see that someone else has to scrap those imperfect shots because of non-cooperative family members! It's good to document all of life, both the surly attitude along with the cooperative!! I love all the layers and fun elements you included in your projects! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

There are so many elements I love on these projects...the camera, the banners, the rosettes and the suitcases are all too cute. My favorite is the fun-o-meter. I love that! You did a great job on all of them. Thanks for sharing.
