Cycling Team member Latrice Murphy has a wonderful project to share today with our Escape Collection. Let's have her tell you all about it...
Hey there Little Yellow Bicycle lovers. I’m so very excited to be here with you today sharing my love for the Escape collection from LYB. This collection is so full of color and they always have the best embellishment collection ever. It’s really a very versatile collection. Today I’ve created two projects for you. First up is a mini album using the Canvas covered chipboard album and a little of everything from the collection. I wanted to make it even more unique to my style so I mixed shaped a little vellum. I printed a couple photo directly on vellum and made confetti pouches with some as well. I then used some left overs from the collection to make a quick and easy card.
*Tips* I use both Mod Podge and dry adhesive to secure my paper to the chipboard album pieces. The Mod Podge is put around the edges for a nice clean edge.
To create a quick colored background on the canvas cover and back I used Studio Calico Mists and Mod Podged the patterned paper to it.
Since mini albums will be picked up and touched a lot I add dots of Glossy Accents behind each piece of embellishments. This holds them in place very well. I even put it on the 3D adhesive and let it set before working on the page more.
Also from the items LYB sent me I created a quick card. I love creating cards with my project leftovers. No need to be a stamper to do this. Here are the steps I took to make my card.
1. Make card from cardstock
2. Adhere patterned paper to card front.
3. Choose a coordinating cardstock (I used the “b” side of the cloud paper) and add vellum tape to it. Adhere to bottom of card.
4. Choose a canvas embellishment and add to card. I then layered a felt cloud, ticket and acetate piece to finish.
5. *optional* Add two straight lines of stitching to the top and bottom of the card to finish it off.
It’s that easy. Five steps! This card will go to a new graduate or someone starting a new job. I can’t wait to send it off to someone.
Thanks so much to LYB for letting me share on the blog today. I hope to do it again. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to design for. Thanks so much and don’t forget to leave me some comment love and to visit me at my blog Any Occasion where I share everything from Layouts to recipes!

This album is so cute; you've inspired me to do something like this for my mom-in-law's yearly photo album (of our family) that I make for her every year for a Christmas present. Love it!
