Another CHA Peek - Plus a Project from Biker Chick Shanna Vineyard featuring The Escape!

Hello friends! I'm back again with more CHA peeks. But before I get started, I have a quick share from Biker Chick Shanna Vineyard - because even though we're at CHA, it's still summer, and you may be on vacation and, well, I just couldn't wait to share this amazing project with you!

The Escape Travel Gift Case

I’m so excited to share this fun project with you!  While I was brainstorming for ideas on what to create using The Escape I kept thinking about a friend of mine who is leaving on a really nice vacation soon and how fun it would be to send her off with a fun little gift!

 

I found this paper Mache suitcase at Hobby Lobby and went to work altering it.  The first thing I did was cover it with a gel stain to give it an antique feel.  I’m thinking if I did another one of these I would probably just paint it a bright fun color…… that’s more ME! But I think it turned out cute anyway.  Next, I added all the fun The Escape goodies using the following products:

ESC-107 Souvenir Stamp

Esc-122 Decorative Edge Cardstock

Esc-230 Clear Cut Shapes

Esc-277 Stick Pins

Esc-279 Chipboard Shapes

Esc-220 Fabric Favorites

 

Once I was done with the outside I created a cute little travel journal to include with the gift. This was just a chunky little notebook I had that was perfect so I added the fun Escape goodies to the front.  Here are the supplies used on the little journal:

Last, I created a cute card of course to complete the set and stick inside with all the goodies.

Here’s a photo of the finished product open and filled with the journal, card, and a few more goodies for the trip.  Maybe this will spark your creativity this summer!  The Escape is such a fun collection to work with! 

 

Wow. So much fun! Who wouldn't love receiving this as a treat to send them off!

I often wonder if you all get tired of me saying "this is my favorite collection yet"? I think from now on I'm just going to say "one of my favorites" because, let's face it ... they're ALL my favorites! I hope they're YOUR favorites too!

 

So here we go:  Just in time for fall ... it's Acorn Hollow!

 

Acorn Hollow is a wonderful, whimsical place to celebrate fall ... with the warmest fall colors combined with the cutest of critters! In stores in mid-September ... we hope you're planning a visit to Acorn Hollow!
