We are excited to share some wonderful Hello Spring! projects from Cycling Team Member Katrina Hunt. She has whipped up some amazing ideas, but we will let her tell you all about it...
Hi LYB fans! It’s Katrina, here and I am so excited that I was asked back to design for the Hello Spring Cycling Team. I have a bunch of projects, so let’s get to them!
I love the bright colors of the Hello Spring collection and knew I had to do a layout about the flowerbed out in the front of the house. But, I found a gnome on clearance and decided to do a layout about him! I also have instructions to duplicate this layout that you can download.

My next layout, I wanted to use that fun scalloped die-cut paper, so I built my layout around that. I have a few details on my blog about how I did the layering behind the picture.
I always, always do altered projects with Little Yellow Bicycle collections. I am just drawn to do them with the fun papers and the fun embellishments that each collection has.
This first project is just a door hanger that would make a great quick gift for someone. I had fun blinging out the tree on this! I also used the clear shapes, a piece from the 6 x 6 chipboard album, 6 x 6 paper pad, and the some of the fabric embellishments.
Some details shots….and you can see that I popped up the clear shapes where I could placing foam tape adhesive under the colored parts.
My next altered piece is my favorite! I went crazy with a canvas and the Paper Flower kit. I also added mixed some of the crocheted embellishments with the paper flowers. I included some of the cardstock stickers and dimensional stickers here and there also.
In the pictures below, you can see how I layered and added pieces in to create a full looking canvas, but leaving space to see details.
And finally I have a couple of cards. These went quickly and I completed both of them in under 30 minutes!
I have some tips for the next card on my blog about how to keep that banner straight and fixed the way you want it when you are putting your card together!
Such a fun collection and I hope I have given you some ideas on how to use everything in it! Be sure to grab the instructions for the Garden Gnome layout. Thank you, Little Yellow Bicycle, for having me ride along again!
Thank you Katrina for sharing so much wonderful inspiration today! All of the projects are fabulous. Please visit Katrina's blog Paper Scissors & Glue.
Happy Tuesday!
