We are so pleased to share some creative Hello Spring! projects from Cycling Team member Tamara Tripodi. In fact you can recreate her gorgeous altered crate with many of our collections, but let's have Tamara tell you all about it...
Hello, everyone! Tamara here for the Hello Spring cycling team! I'm honored to have been asked to join in and was super excited when I saw the adorable Hello Spring collection in person! It's fabulous! The bright colors, fun cheery embellishments, etc. Works great not only for spring, but anything! There is such a mix of embellishments which makes it easy to create for any occasion or season!
I love doing off the page projects, so of course I had to alter something! I found this cute little wood create at Michaels craft store and thought it would be perfect for a 'treats holder'. It's about 7x6", so not huge, but big enough for some treat bags!
I trimmed papers to fit the sides and adhered them using a Glue Glider. The orange decorative edge piece was PERFECT for the backing! I adhered the 'celebrate' banner and some of the clear butterflies. For the front I decorated the crate with the chipboard flowers and the cute little bunny. The 'rosette' from the paper flowers kit was great for a fun little trim at the base of the crate. I also added on a big blue flower to the front. I love these paper flower kits, makes putting flowers and rosettes together in no time! Anyone else hate scoring line after line for one rosette?.. The LYB ones are pre-scored! Yay! And lastly I added on the 'You make me smile' banner from the dimensional stickers set. Fill with goodies and you're ready to go with a cute way to display them! This would also make a great decoration piece.
My next project is a simple card. I've really been enjoying making cards lately! I love, looove the felt flowers! I added one the little flags and stitched around the card. Added two felt flowers, a clear flower, and some stick pins! The stick pins are a lot of fun.. I admit, I've only used them maybe 1-2 other times. I really need to get some more. I love how they easily add an extra 'something' to a project! I also added a little crinkled yellow paper flower strip as a fun trim.
Thank you again, LYB, for having me! It's been fun!
