We have another awesome Hello Spring! projects to share from guest designer Wendy Sue Anderson. Wendy really has an eye for design on cards, but let's have her tell you all about her projects...
Hi again! It’s Wendy Sue, back with you again today with another fun “Hello Spring” project! You know, one of the things I love most about Little Yellow Bicycle is how there are so many coordinating options with each line. I think I mentioned that last week, but it’s really true, and it’s worth mentioning again! It just makes the whole process of creating – no matter what I’m working on…cards, layouts, packaging, whatever – go so much more smoothly and I always love the end result when everything matches perfectly!
Whenever I find myself in a creative “rut,” for lack of a better word, I always pull out a packet of coordinating items and just put together a few cards. It always kicks my mind into “creative mode,” and I always end up with a card, or set of cards, I can add to my files and use at a later date when I need a fun card to send to someone. But that’s not the only time I like to make cards. Sometimes when I have oodles of fun product I just can’t wait to look for photos to coordinate, so I delve in and put together cards. Or when I find a super fun embellishment that I just can’t wait to use, I will probably put together a fun card. So, as you can see, as much as I love (love, love, love) scrapbooking…I’m a total card-making fanatic as well!
As I was sorting through all of the bright, happy, fun “Hello Spring” product the sweet folks at LYB sent my way, I just couldn’t wait to use the felt flower stickers. I used one on my layout last week, but I just had to use them again – and that’s how this little card set came to be.
I was able to use several different papers from the 6x6 paper pad, as well as some of the journaling tickets and these super fun banner stickers too! I added a bit of machine stitching (of course) on the right side of each card. And I used pop-dots (my other addiction) to pop up the banner word stickers. I love the way these cards came together so quickly, with the same basic design and elements. I’m anxious to find an excuse to send one of these happy cards to a friend – I know it will make someone’s day very soon!
