It's Day 3 in our blog swap with our friends over at Petaloo! Didn't you love yesterday's cards and gift card holders? Perfect for Mother's Day gift giving (or teacher gifts, birthday, or, really ... anything)! Today, Biker Chick Robbie Herring is here to share a super cute 12X12 layout featuring (what else) Hello Spring and Petaloo flowers!
Here's Robbie to tell you about it!

Isn't it great when you mix two companies together for a page? Hearing that we were going to swap with Petaloo had me so excited and when I saw the Mulberry Daisies, I knew exacly which pictures and flowers that I was going to use! The Hello Spring Collection is such a bright and fun collection and adding such happy flowers as daisies made for a perfect fit.
This page was primarily made with just embellishments. Aside from the background and some punched cardstock for flower layers and leaves, there is no patterned paper here. I chose to do this look because the pictures that I chose already had a strong floral element and I wanted to be sure to let them shine. The white background of the Decorative Edge cardstock gives a great canvas to allow the embellishments to shine and still has the scalloped border to allow it to pull in all the colors easily.
Despite all of the things on this page, it's still surprisingly easy to pull together. You can see that I just layered a few of the Tear-out Journal pieces to add different shapes and interest to this section.
Tip: Did you know that you can use an old fashioned glue stick to glue two punched flowers together to make them hold the shape? Well you can! It works like a charm! Just shape your flower before the glue dries, let it dry and it will get stiff and hold its shape better.
For this section, I just layered more of the adorable Petaloo flowers with some punched flowers. I also tucked a section of the Little Yellow Bicycle Felt Flower partially behind the picture.
I really love the look of mixed up and layered titles. This one is alphabet stickers from the Fresh Verse package, mixed with the word happy from the Clear Cuts. I added some tiny alphabets to complete the title.
This picture just shows more of the layering and that cute little fabric birdie. I used a foam dot under the yellow flower to add more dimension in the cluster. I also made a point to use the more pastel colors of the daisies here to keep from overwhelming the picture in this corner, but to still draw your eye to it.
As you can see, I loved working with the Hello Spring Collection and the Petaloo Flowers! Thanks Petaloo for making so many terrific flowers and for sharing them with us!
