We are so happy share a couple of projects from Cycling Team Member Pam Brown. Pam's carefree and simple style makes you crave Saturday all week long. Take a look at her fresh fun feel and how she was able to transform our Saturdays collection into a reality.
Pam added our Saturdays Felt and Burlap Flower Stickers to embellish the simple design of her page.
Wrinkly Toes
1. Use the Well-Worn Wood patterned paper as the base for your 12x12 layout. About 1 5/8" from the bottom of the layout, add a strip of the Blue Reverie patterned paper, measuring 1"x6", and make sure it is centered on the page...about 3 inches on either side.
2. Trim the lined white strip from the Pants and Patches patterned paper and type/write your journaling on there. Add that strip above the bottom strip, making sure the edges are lined up on the left side.
3. Add a 1"x6" strip of the Lose Yourself patterned paper on top of that, and a 1.25"x6" strip of the Reverie Garden patterned paper. Add your 4"x6" photo above that.
4. Add a 3/8"x6" strip of Rustic Red Linen patterned paper above your photo, and add the chipboard piece with the blue flowers above that, lining up the left side.
5. I added stitching across some of my strips of patterned paper, so if you want to do this, do it before you add the embellishments!
6. I added my title on the bottom strip of patterned paper. In the space to the right of the journaling, I added the blue felt flower, with one of the red pinked circles from the Paper Flower kit.
7. To the left of the paper strips, I added a flower from the Paper Flowers kit, layered over other flowers from the Paper Flowers kit, and topping it off with a piece from the Chipboard Shapes.
8. Finally, I added a flower made from 3 of the white/cream paper flowers from the Paper Flowers kit, a brown pinked circle from the Paper Flowers kit, a burlap leaf from the Felt Flowers package, and a chipboard button from the Chipboard Shapes with a piece of red jute string tied through.
Instructions for the card:
1. Create your 4"x5.5" card base from the Meet Me in the Meadow patterned paper. Trim from the corner of the paper, so you get the pretty floral design.
2. About 2.75" from the top of the card, add a strip of the brown Accordian flower (not folded) from the Paper Flowers kit. The strip should be trimmed to 4" wide.
3. Leaving about a 5/8" space from the top of the Accordian flowers trip, add a 3/8"x4" strip of the Pick-a-Posy patterned paper. Stitch across the top, if desired.
4. Cut 2 1.5"x.75" pieces of the Lose Yourself patterned paper and cut a little triangle out of the bottom to make a banner piece. Do the same thing with a 1.25"x.75" strip.
5. Starting from the left, add a longer banner piece, a shorter banner piece, the chipboard banner piece from the Chipboard Shapes kit, and a longer banner piece, then stitch across the top. Using your fingernail, lift up the bottom of the patterned paper banner pieces and add a foam dot underneath to add a little dimension.
6. At the top left corner of the chipboard banner piece, add a red felt flower from the Felt Flowers package, with an extra burlap leaf from the package underneath the flower.
7. Add the card front to a piece of folded white cardstock!
