LYB: What kind of music gets you in the scrappin’ mood?
IA: I usually scrap late at night in a quiet house.
LYB: Do you have a favorite quote?
IA: I’ve always been partial to the Japanese proverb: Fall down 7 times; stand up 8. I love that message of perseverance. As a mother to a young child, I hold this quote close, too, because it reflects the kind of mom I want to be: How many dreams are realized because a mother whispered, “Yes, you can.”
LYB: Do you have a favorite adhesive?
IA: I love my ATG and Claudine Hellmuth’s Multi Medium Matte.
But let's hear from Izzy now...

Hi, it’s Izzy here and I’m excited to be back today to share another Paradise project with you. I have to confess: even though I love that Little Yellow Bicycle puts out a full line of embellishments with every collection, I’ve tended to gloss right over the little envelope and medley albums. What a treat I have been missing! I can’t tell you how much fun I had this week with the Paradise medley album. It’s an adorable assortment of little tags, envelopes and inserts in a variety of sizes. I loved that a new and different little canvas awaited me on each page.
The album comes with instructions and full color photos that show a suggested way to put things together. You can follow right along with the instructions if you like or you can forge your own path. The album is very adaptable.
The envelopes come with one side unsealed and before I got started, I wanted to adhere them together. I could have used glue, but I thought it would be a little more decorative to sew them. Then I added closures to the two envelopes. I used brads, but the kit comes with eyelets, twine and washers that you could use instead.
Now that my pages were prepped, I was ready to start. As soon as I saw the album and all the cute embellishments in the collection, I knew I would document my son’s first trip to the beach. Paradise, as the name implies, lends itself particularly well to summer vacation photos without being too themey. I really do love this collection.
I started the album by making a wee little cover. I used a “ Paradise ” word piece from the chipboard collection and covered the back of it with a little strip of border paper. Then, I punched a hole in one end and added it to my album to set a playful tone. After that, I just decorated each tag or envelope in the album with photos and embellies. The album was really quick to put together and so fun to do. I can't wait to play with the next one. I think - I hope! - that all the new LYB CHA collections will have these medley albums.
