Don't put those Christmas scrapbooking supplies away yet! ...because we have some ideas for making a few more special cards to save for next year. Why not get a head start on Christmas 2012...
Today we have some more ideas for our Wonder & Wishes collection from Cycling Team Member Renee Zwirek. She said the cards are really easy to make and even included some instructions. But here is what Renee had to say about them.
I just love this Owl Chipboard Shape. I added a red pom pom to his hat and a fun Santa Beard that I cut out of the Paper Doily.
1. Start with a 6 x 12 inches piece of white cardstock and score at 6 inches.
2. Take the 6 x 6 Decorative Edge Cardstock and add the paper doily.
3. Use the Crop-A-Dile and punch holes at the ends of the Chipboard Shape. Add “Joy” Cardstock Stickers for the title and add Jewel Stickers to the title.
4. Add the Twine to the ends of the Chipboard Shape, tie bows, and attach Chipboard Shape to the front of the card using pop dots.
5. Add the sweet Chipboard Owl using pop dots above the title. Add a pom pom to the owl’s hat and a piece of paper doily for the Santa Beard.
6. Use adhesive and attach 6 x 6 Decorative Edge to the white cardstock.
Supplies I used to make my “Joy” Card:
The Wonder and Wishes Collection by Little Yellow Bicycle
(WO - 135) Cardstock Stickers - Favorite Pieces, (WO - 133) 6 x 6 Decorative Edge Cardstock, (WO - 197) Jewel Stickers, (WO - 279) Chipboard Shapes, and (WO - 302) Mini Pom Poms and Twine Spools by Little Yellow Bicycle
Others: Paper Doilies by Little Yellow Bicycle, Bright White Cover 12 x 12 cardstock by The Paper Company, paper trimmer by Fiskars, Scoring Board by Martha Stewart Crafts, Crop-A-Dile II by We R Memory Keepers, Circle Foam Tabs by American Crafts, Mini and Memory Book Glue Dots, and scissors
1. Start with a 7 1/8 x 10 1/8 inches piece of white cardstock and score at 5 inches.
2. Cut the Green Poinsettia Patterned Paper to 4 7/8 x 7 inches and cut the Tiny Tonal Poinsettia Patterned Paper to 3 5/8 x 5 6/8 inches. Use adhesive to put them together and add some stitching. I used a zig-zag stitch, but a straight line stitch would look nice, too. Use adhesive and attach the patterned papers to the white cardstock.
3. Add the “Noel” Fabric Favorites Sticker to the corner of the card for the title.
4. Attach the Christmas tree Chipboard Shape to the front of the card using pop dots.
5. Attach the Angel Cardstock Stickers Favorite Pieces to the front of the card using pop dots. Add some glitter glue to the star and halo of the Angel and allow to dry.
Supplies I used to make my “Noel” Card:
The Wonder and Wishes Collection by Little Yellow Bicycle
(WO - 103) Green Poinsettia Patterned Paper, (WO - 105) Tiny Tonal Poinsettia Patterned Paper, (WO - 135) Cardstock Stickers – Favorite Pieces, (WO - 220) Fabric Favorites, and (WO - 279) Chipboard Shapes by Little Yellow Bicycle
Others: Bright White Cover 12 x 12 cardstock by The Paper Company, paper trimmer by Fiskars, Scoring Board by Martha Stewart Crafts, Circle Foam Tabs by American Crafts, Mini and Memory Book Glue Dots, Herma Tabs, Icicle Stickles by Ranger Industries, white thread, and sewing machine

We'll be back with more inspiration this week and I think I have another Training Reel coming up next Monday with Winter Twig. Guess I better get a move on!
Have a wonderful day!

I just love both cards. So cute! Using the doily to make the owl's beard was very clever. Excellent job, Renee.

Great cards. I wish had used these as ideas instead of the generic Hallmark box-o-cards. Lookin' for your ideas for Valentines day!
