My most creative birthday project was a scavenger hunt I sent my husband on around town. I gave him the first clue and he used that to find the 2nd clue. Then used that clue to find the 3rd clue, etc. The last clue was a hotel room key. What can I say? We were newlyweds!

Stunning! Just amazing. A child's dream! I made a few creative cake back in the day. It was before I was a scrapper so nothing with paper.

Last year for my daughter's 9th birthday we had a scrapbook party and each guest got to create their very own paper bag book. I took pictures at the party and sent them to the girls later so they would have some picture for their books! They all had a great time!!

My Hubby and I love doing themed birthday parties for out kids, from the inviations, decorations, homemade cake, games, Pinata's and even goodie bags, we have done them all from Pokey mon, hello kitty, Harry Potter, cow boy, transformers, princess, halloween, barbie fear factor etc.... we love to sit and think up new ways to get creative with each theme, and the kids just love it.

What an awesome birthday idea--and so creative Audrey!! I bet she had a great birthday! :)
When my son turned 10, I did a spy party for him and used my scrapbook supplies to create folders that had all the challenges and games in them. The kids had to decipher codes, make invisible ink, follow the clues and take notes to figure out who "stole" the presents. Everyone also had a code name for the party and nametag badges to wear. It was lots of fun!

My daughter's 7th birthday party was the most creative birthday project. It was 'Secret Garden' theme. I made the invites, made bird in nest wands, and treat cones. I also decorated the gazebo in the park with hanging butterflies and decorated the tables with bird cages and made a flower tiara for the birthday girl. We also hid a section of picket fence with a keyhole on it and my daughter had the key on a ribbon around her neck. They had to search for the secret garden gate. My favorite birthday yet. -Alisa

I'm not very creative with birthday stuff. I rely on my super-creative sister to make and decorate cakes. Not only do they taste great, but are beautiful to boot!

So very cute!!!
The most creative thing I've made for a birthday would be for my Star Wars loving son. Using a drawing from a coloring book, I made a paper mache C3PO pinata. It took forever, but was so worth it in the end when he saw it!!

My most creative was making a banner, card and cupcake holder for my daughter for her birthday last year. We had just moved so she did not know anyone yet but it made her happy:)

Beautiful cake!!! My most creative b-day project was a little purse i made out of paper for my niece. I usually give a giftcard or cash and instead of a plain old card I thought giving her the purse to open up and the gift being inside would make a good presentation. It was a hit.

it's hard to think about birthdays, when I just finished my son's 7/3/11 wedding (did the flowers, candle favors for the wedding, little buckets for the shower favors, decorated the reception table, rehearsal dinner flowers, made the invitations and announcements for the wedding.....) but as near as I can remember my most creative project was for my daughter's birthday was a mini scrap book that they each made and got to take home. THANKS for the chance to win - and a Happy 5th Birthday too. Posted on

I have made pinatas that allow children to pull strings that bring the candy and toys cascading down. Each had the theme of the party. Also, matching t-shirts using the napkins "glued" on the fronts, (but washable), and invented games. My favorite was Pinocchio because there wasn't anything out yet but my son loved the movie, and had wanted it as his party theme. Being a mom that's crafty has been a great benefit, and its money conscious, too!!

Love that! So cute! I made all the decor for my daughter's 9th birthday... themed Harry Potter. Right down to the 9 3/4 Hogwarts express sign.

This is fabulous! I especially love the little hanging treat cups. My most creative birthday project was an ice skater on a frozen pond cake for my daughter's 12th birthday party at the skating rink.

One year we had a Ghost party for my son's birthday in Feb. We had a storm that day and lost power, so it was a perfect theme to have a party with the lights out!

I like to include the kids in some way!! Last year we made a whole bunch of cardstock cricut cuts in the shapes of facial parts!! Then we meet all of the kids at our local pumpkin patch and let all of the kids pick out a pumpkin and then we took a tour and played some games. Back at the party we gave the kids all of the facial parts and they were able to decorate the pumpkins. It was the funnest and cutest project yet!! =) THANKS for the chance to win!! Have a FABULOUS DAY!! =)

The most creative birthday project I have ever done was for my oldest daughter's 3rd birthday. She was in love with Disney's Pochahontas and I made her a Pochahontas cake and iced it accordingly. It turned out beautifully. To this day she still says that is her favorite birthday and she's almost 18.

Last year for my son's 40th birthday, I ordered a simple white cake, then scanned and copied a picture of him from birth to 39 years. I attached each picture to a small dowel rod and poked these into the cake, elevated each row.

My most creative b-day project was my son's Hulk party. We painted the boys with green washable paint and had them run thru the sprinkler til they were clean! They also put on the hulk hands and smashed down cardboard box towers. they loved it and did it again and again.

My most memorable birthday project that I received was when my grandma made me a barbie doll cake, where her dress was a dome of cake and then layered with lacey frosting ... I'll never forget the feeling of love pouring out of my grandma when she presented me with that special cake!

nothing too creative, just handmade invitations

Tiered bday cake by Audrey is Fabulous! I haven't done much for bdays, but the most creative would be my husband's 40th... blue brothers theme and I made black hat table centre pieces that were filled with handmade chocolate lollipops in music notes, "40" and dolly parton lollies and that's the one everyone wanted to have :)

Renee is a creative genius!!! I created a Pool Cake for my daughter when she turned 23 and was living in her first real condo on her own after graduating from college. It had a roof top pool. It was made with a blue jello filled center and had teddy grahams swimmers, and Life Savers for inner tubes. She loved it! Thanks for the great memories and the chance to win the best B-day give away.

My most creative birthday project is when I made my daughter a "Look at 13" book for her 14th birthday! It turned out FABULOUS, and it featured a look at her first year as a teenager! I'm about to make another one, because my younger daughter is about to turn 14!!
Cute project Audrey! Now I want a cupcake!! :)

That is one of the cutest and most awesome creations I've ever seen! Last year, we took our daughter to Disney for her fifth birthday and the way we told her about it was to show her the first page in the scrapbook I started with a poem I wrote announcing she was going to Disney World. It was also one of the best memories I have of her reaction when she realized what was happening!

I'm not sure I've ever had a super-creative birthday project yet but I'm sure they'll start ramping up now that my son is old enough to know what birthdays are all about. :) The closest would be going with a whole robot theme last year for his 3rd. Handmade robot invites/thank yous, a robot-shaped/decorated cake, robot crafts for the kids to do and a robot holding the utensils in his head-bucket and cookies for later in his chest-bucket. Sounds weird but it was pretty cute.
