As I'm sure you all will agree, we have been so lucky to work with Liz Qualman over the last several months. Ever since she agreed to Guest Design for us last November for the Savor collection, we've been impressed with her amazing talents and enthusiasm for this great hobby. So we're thrilled to announce that she has agreed to officially join our Biker Chick Team.
Of course this is great news for us - and great news for you too - because it means you'll enjoy even more inspiration from Liz (along with treats from the rest of our fantastically talented Biker Chick team) ... and we're also excited to be able to bring more Sketch Challenges your way! Welcome Liz! You can read more about Liz below, and then scroll down to see the amazing page she created with the Elizabeth Park collection ... shipping next week!
About Liz Qualman:
Liz Qualman has technically been paper crafting since kindergarten, but officially started to scrapbook in the winter of 2006. She is a page maker at heart, but also enjoys card making and altering. Liz has also been designing sketches for fellow crafters for many years. She has an extensive collection for anyone to use on her blog – My Little Sketch Blook. The creative process is important to Liz who could easily spend hours and hours holed up in her craft space.
Besides freelance designing for a few industry manufacturers, Liz is also a regular contributor and series writer for Scrapbooking & Beyond Magazine. Not only is the creativity of scrapbooking important to Liz, she genuinely loves to write about it and feels honored to have her work and words in print. Her work can also be found in other industry publications such as Scrapbook Trends, CARDS, Paper Creations and Scrapbooking and Cards Today. When asked about her style, Liz sums up her work as cute, bright, clean and sassy, which is just right for the two little stinkers she has at home who are the major source of inspiration for her work.
Liz is Colorado girl by transplant rather than birth and started out life in New England. However, she quickly realized that the Wild West was where she wanted to spend her time, despite the fact that the rest of her family prefers the East Coast. She calls the rugged Rocky Mountains home and lives with her wonderful husband, two amazing children and somewhat crazy dog. Although she would love for crafting to be a “full-time” hobby, she has to share the time with her ‘real’ job as an educator. Currently Liz trains teachers on best practices in the classroom and supports many of the public schools in her district in their quest for achievement.
... And now for a little inspiration!
Love this layout featuring Liz's adorable little daughter Maddie! Boy does this collection make my heart ache for spring (as I still gaze out on at least a foot of ... thankfully melting ... snow). It's going to take a few more warm weeks before those little crocuses can pop their head out but luckily next week we can all play in Elizabeth Park!
Here are a few more close-ups, and you can read more about Liz's thoughts on this layout by hopping over to her blog:
