What a fun week! So much inspiration to share ... a new Twig Training Reel yesterday, Cupcake Love inspiration from the Glue Girls Designers all week, and now ... a new layout from our Twig Guest Designer Iris Babao Uy!
First a little more Q&A with Iris!
LYB: What's your favorite die cutting system?
Iris: Sizzix!! I need dimension. So if it’s die-cuts it’s got to be with chipboard.
LYB: Morning bird or night owl?
Iris: I’m a night and day kinda gal!
LYB: Computer or handwritten journaling?
Iris: Handwritten but definitely hidden! My writing is a mess! Very small letters but very messy still.
LYB: How long does it typically take you to complete a layout?
Iris: One to two hours. I’m pretty fast at it because I stick the papers as I go. That way I can’t keep changing my mind.
LYB: Do you use any tools that are not specifically designed for scrapbooking?
Iris: I use mediums that are designed for painting and other crafts.
As a mother of two girls, I rarely create boy themed pages. But when I saw the "Twig" line, I knew that it would be perfect for both girly themed pages and masculine pages as well. And because the collection comes with so many embellishments... it was so easy to create this masculine outdoor themed page for my husband.
Here are a few more close-ups!
Thanks so much for sharing your creativity Iris! We'll be back with one more post from Iris before the end of the month (and you can follow Iris' blog by clicking here). Meanwhile - you only have a few more days to enter the Twig Sketch Challenge. [Click this link for all the details!] We've received a lot of entries and we'd LOVE to add yours to the mix! You have until midnight EST on Monday, 2/28/11 to enter!!
