Now for another quick little peek at BabySaurus and Tiny Princess. I had sooo much fun creating these lines... I have a special place in my heart for babies; always have, always will. So it's no surprise that I thoroughly enjoy designing baby collections, quite possibly more than any others! I smile every time I see the darling little characters and designs, and I hope you do, too!
Here's a page featuring Tiny Princess:
... and a close-up of that little sweetie. I made her skirt with our Crepe Paper Lace Stickers!
... and our little princess once again, on a quick card~ How cute is that Mini Banner?
.... and a BabySaurus layout, featuring our adorable dinosaurs and new 5 Things Envelopes. What a fun way to journal about the things we love about these precious little ones!
Sigh. So cute.
OKAY, so how about a BABY goodies giveaway? I would LOVE to hear about the cutest/funnies/most adorable things your babies (okay, toddlers!) said. I'll pick 6 winners who'll receive a wonderful LYB BAG full of Tiny Princess or BabySaurus product! LET'S HEAR SOME CUTENESS!
I'll get it started:
When my Kacey was not quite 2, he saw me doing laundry one day, and recognized the pillowcase to his very-most-favorite pillow laying among the things in the basket. Not understanding the drastic change in his it's appearance and (lack of) shape, he looked at me, horrified, and cried, "MY PILLOW POPPED!!!"
'til next time!
Sharon
I have two little grandbabies that were born a week apart....one adorable boy and one sweet little princess. I love your babysaurus and tiny princess lines. I can't wait to use them to scrap these wonderful two additions to our family.

I love these papers. Years ago when my son was about three years old, I was watching my soap opera. One of the actresses was crying and he said "Somebody touched her heart". Too bad they have to grow up LOL!

I was in a store and my daughter picked up a safety pin. She asked me what it was so I told her and added "but please give it to me because you can get poked." She looked at me and said, "Well if it ain't safety why is it called a safety pin?"

My baby who is now 10 years old has ADHD and is quite inventive, so one day when he was like 3 years old he put his head inside the toilet and got all wet, and when asked Stevie why did you do that? He said I wanted to visit Poopland!!! Can you believe it, I know its kind of gross, thanks heavens the toilet has just been cleaned, nevertheless I got him inmediately to take a bath. The things a little boy imagine!!!

Hello there,
The cutest thing I can tell about my baby is: when he was 9 month old his first word was not mommy or daddy but: AUTNNN.
Here in Holland the word for car is: auto.
He pointed to our car and said: autnnn.
It was so special I will never forget it.
Greetings to you all.

The other day my son and I were working on homework and my two year old daughter came over to look on. She said "what is that?" and pointed to America on the map. I said "that is America, where we live" and she said "oh, we live in "a-miracle?" America/A-miracle.......guess it sounds the same ;)

What an adorable line! I think the sweetest thing that mine have said is I love you mommy! Nothing better than hearing that from my little one!

I have 4 kids, but the comments my oldest made when she found out about the middle 2 are the best. When I told her she was going to have a little sister she said, "oh, I want a brother, so I could say 'OH BROTHER!'" and then when we were surprised with our 3rd child she said "Ugh, another baby for me to clean up after!"

Too cute!!!
I have FIVE kids...so obviously lots of stories I could tell! LOL..I think my fave one (DO NOT tell any of my kids!!) Is about my youngest. Her name is Skye. When she was a tiny baby, my then 7 year old son would sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to her...all the time....especially when she would cry or fuss. As she grew...she began singing along with him. One day, we were driving to Houston...and she got a little fussy being cooped up in her car seat. My son started singing...and she sang along. At the end...She got loud...
"Up above the world so high...like a diamond in the MAMA!"
LOLOL...all that time..."Like a diamond in the sky" TO HER sounded as if it were "Like a diamond in the Skye" herself! LOL...this time it was like a diamond in the Mama!
I laughed so hard...and my heart swelled so much when she told me..."I gave you my diamond , Mama...cause I love you."
THOSE are the moments that God gives to us to look back on so that we can make it through all the teenage years!!!!!!!

I brought home a decorative birdhouse when my daughter was little. She insisted we put it outside for the birdies to live in. I had to sneak it back into the house days later and hope she'd forget about it. So glad I scrapbooked this story because now she has this memory that she would have forgotten about. Love scrap booking, these lines are so adorable!

Loving the new releases! I had to laugh the other day. We recently had a new addition to our family and my 4 year old son has done fairly well with sharing the attention with his new sister. But I had to laugh out loud the other day, I was driving them to the sitter and he said "mommy can Makenah go back inside your tummy just for a little while longer?". Oh my I said it does not work that way. The look on his face when he asked was priceless.

My son is 3 and he came home from his grandparents and started 'extercising'(as he says it) and he told me that his grandparents are getting old and they need to exercise so they can keep up with him! So now he walks around the house and will stop strike a pose (like a yoga pose) and say he is exercising, of course he always makes a crazy face and grunts too! So funny!!

My youngest had a few words that he mixed up just enough to make it funny: hippopomanus (hippopotamus)
fly-smacker (fly swatter)
mow-lawner (lawn mower) and no-man (snowman). Man, I miss those days :(
I'd love to win some baby paper....I'm fresh out of baby cards!

At 22 and 27, it is tough to remember them as babies. When I was pregnant the second time, my daughter was 4 1/2. She told me if it was a boy baby, we had to leave it at the hospital because she did not want a boy baby. She was not real happy when we brought Robert home:)

That little baby princess and the envelopes are just perfect for the layouts created.
Some of my cousins are vegetarians, so at a family gathering I asked my 3 year old nephew if he was vegetarian or vegan. Without batting an eye, he replied vegan.

My hometown was Miami and my parents and some siblings are still there. We would visit at New Year's and Easter when my three were babies. The children were about 7, 5 and 3~ the 7 year old was doing a school project about Family and she asked about Miami . . the youngest stands up with all her 3 year old attitude and says " It's not your Ami it's Momma's Ami ! " . . . Still chuckle 16 years later ! Have a precious newborn nephew in Dallas TX so I am going to NEED this Baby Saurus

A few years ago my son was trying to log onto the computer by himself, after a few tires he came to me complaining that he couldn't get it to work. I aksed him what his passowrd was, he replied 'Jonathan'. I aksed him how do you spell that j-o-n-a-f-i-n. I never took into consideration that he since he couldn't say the 'th' sound he couldn't spell it either!!! I still smile when I think about that conversation!

When shopping with my children we always looked through the toy department. One day I told them that I didn't have the money for a toy today. They said you don't have to have money. Just get out that plastic card.

OMGosh, such *adorable* lines. And look at those gorgeous lil bubbas.
I have 3 kids so have HEAPS of stories. My middle son is quite "into" my friends little girl and insists he is going to marry her. He has proposed and she said yes. She even has a "ring" (a can tab). They are getting married "at the pub" (bar) and then they are going to live in Australia! They are 4 and 2 years old!!!

ohmygosh these are funny! so i have to add my little tidbit from life with potty training twin boys -24 years ago... one of them was doing his thing, and was producing much noise and a very loose stool... and he said, to reassure me,
'don't worry mom, it's just blowin' smoke!'
I LOVE the new baby line, esp. the adorable little dollie-girl-princess... squeal!
{prolly family can't win... but still fun!}

I live in a different country to my daughter and grandson and skype has been a lifeline to me to keep up with his activities. He listened to my voice from birth as I chatted with his mum whilst she fed him. I love the way he accepts seeing me for a few days then I am back to being 'nana in a box' He includes me by running his choo-choo along the keyboard to show me his latest and put Woody's cowboy hat on my head even though he can only see my face. Yesterday I had to hold my hand to the screen so he could do round and round the garden. Long may this continue.

My grandson loves the trash dumpster truck. While excitedly watching it come to a stop to gather the garbage, my grandson shouted out laughing and my daughter asked what was so funny. My grandson replied that the dumpster truck sneezed. He thought the air brakes sounded like sneezing, which it does!

What a funny story. I love how littles think. I have to say that it's been awhile since my littles were little, (12 and 18) but I was happily surprised to find out a couple months ago that I am expecting a baby boy in July. So it's safe to say that I could really use the Babysaurus line since I certainly don't have any baby paper left in my stash. :) I am so looking forward to all of those special moments from birth on up and can't wait to document those memories.
xoxo, Christine

Hmmm...I don't know where my first post went. My 3 y.o. nephew...loves the sound of words. When his family visits each summer, we always go to a Mexican restaurant named Margaritas. Well, he fell in love with the sound of that word---that summer (he was two then) all he would shout was that word--which of course cracked us all up! Now, whenever we take a picture- instead of cheese- we say Margaritas! LOL

We live in CT and the rest of our family lives in NYS. So---my little nephew, 3 YO---told his mom one day, "We need to move to CT so we don't have to go so far to see A. Kim and U. Wayne....oh and Poppy and Grammy should move there too!" He is in love with our cats, especially Peachie! He likes to pretend he is PEachie, so one day he called and said that he needed me to bring him some Peachie cheese. BUT< that we needed to change our license plate since we would be driving to NY... too funny!

My daughter visited santa when she was 4 and asked for a magic wand that does real magic and a baby in mommy's tummy. 6 months later I was pregnant with her baby brother. After he was born I kept calling him my baby. She corrected me and told me Ryan was HER BABY because she wished for him. He's just shy of two now and he's still her baby!!
Love Babysaurus for boys! What a hit for you!

We had brought a big old suitcase over to my daughter's house to throw in her trash, because her township picks up anything and ours wouldn't take it. So my 3 yo granddaughter, who watches the trashmen every Monday, came running to my daughter, screaming: "Mommy, mommy, the trashmen took Poppy's suitcase! Why did they do that?"

My husband does all the cooking, and yes I know I am very lucky, but really, it's self preservation on his part. He was out one Saturday morning, when my son was 3 and my sweet freckle-faced blue eyed boy walked up to me still in his jammies and holding his teddy (insert misty loving smile from Mom here) and then he said, "Mommy, I know you're not a really good cook, but do you think you could possibly manage to make me breakfast?" He's 10 now, and we still laugh about it...

When my now grown up daughter was 3 yrs old she was sitting at the kitchen table with me. My mom and Aunt were in the kitchen arguing quite intensely with each other, my daughter looked at them and started singing "Momma said there'd be days like this", we all laughed - it was quite humorous.
I am totally in love with the Baby Saurus line...RAWR!!

My favorite would be when my niece get mad at her daddy during a boat trip. She wiggled her point finger and told him with such a look on her face, saying, "Daddy, I told you you should have listen to mommy. Now we all wet and I am mad at you." The look on her face with that pouty face and the factthat her dad was speechless was priceless!

I love these collections! With 4 kids, I have had TONS of these moments. When my daughter was about 5 and just learning to read, she took a road trip with her dad. I was talking to her on the cell phone and asked, "where are you now?". She replied, "I don't know mommy, but there is a sign coming up. We're in speed limit 55". :-) I think of that every time I see a speed limit 55 sign and it makes me smile!

My now grown son went on his first airplane trip with his grandparents at a very young age. He was very excited, but also a little scared of the unknown. Grandma tried to ease his fears and had him looking out of the window at the beautiful clouds they were flying thru. After a few more minutes of climbing, he turned to Grandma and said, "I thought we were gonna see Mickey Mouse not God!"

My little guy just started swimming lessons and he has been very preoccupied with having to take off his shirt to go in the pool. When I took him into class on the second day, he marched right up to his teacher, Amanda, and said very loudly, "Oh no, Amanda, are you going to take off ALL your clothes today?" Thanks for the fun chance to win some adorable goodies!

Well, I was not blessed with children but I have a four year old neice nearby. One day she decided to dress herself. She would put one thing on and her mother would tell her she needed something else. She would put that on and her mother would tell her she couldn't wear it by itself. After several wardrobe changes and her inability to make her mother happy she threw herself on the couch crying "You've ruined my life". I always thought that came later lol...her mother must be doing something right :-)

These are absolutely darling!
Um everything my kid says is cute except when it comes out as a scream... :)
How about when I asked my toddler if she was "demanding" the other day and she said, "No I am not a bandaid man." I love it when they try to figure out what you are saying and this is how they put the peices together. :)

With 3 kids I know I have tons of funny and cute stories, why can't you remember the best ones when you are trying to? Anyways I do remember one story that I love. My youngest son who is 6 now has always had the best reasoning skills. While he was in preschool one day at recess all the kids were playing outside and Kadin was climbing the stairs to the monkeybars and the Teacher told him he was only suppose to climb one stair at a time. Well my son looked at the teacher and said "no, the sign says two" while pointing to a number plate on the monkeybars. How can you argue with reasoning like that?

COngratulations everyone! And how exciting for these baby lines.
My little guy has a stuffed dog that he ALWAYS has with him. He sucks his thump and sniffs the ear of his dog and just rubs it on his little nose. One day he was laying on the couch with his dad. Dad started sniffing around and said I think houndy needs a bath. My little guy just sniffed him and said 'I think he smells just perfect'. We all laughed and at the next opportunity houndie did get a bath.
That story still brings a smile to my face - I bet get it scrapbooked!

My daughter went through a hair pulling phase...so one day I pulled hers to show her how it felt and we discussed how it's not nice to do that to other people. A couple days later I gave her a little swat on the behind for something and she proceeded to turn around, swat me on the behind an say, "How doe it feel, mommy?" I couldn't help but laugh!

Just yesterday, my 3 year old was watching a movie with headphones while I was on a conference call. She kept saying "I switched it Mama", but it didn't click what she was talking about. When I was finished, she said "switch it back Mama, he keeps saying yaba yaba yaba". Sure enough, she had switched to another language, it was hilarious!

When I was pregnant with my 2nd, my 3-yr-old (now 17) asked how the baby got in my belly. I told him God put it there. And he said, "But how did it get IN there???"
I said, "Well, Mommies and Daddies have a very special kind of hug that makes a baby start growing in the mommy's belly." I thought it was a great explanation, but his eyes bulged and looking down with a gasp he said, "Is there a baby growing in MY belly?"
I guess he thought he got pretty special hugs too!!!

So many stories. My daughter listens to the words of the songs on the car radio and after a Bon Jovi song was playing, she came inside and started singing it to herself. Listening closely I heard "You give love a Band-aid" That was last week!

Just the other day I heard my son singing, "Who built the ark? No one, no one, who built the ark, brother no one built the ark." I said, "That's really good Jaxon, but I think it's No-ah". To which he replied, "no mom, I learned it in Sunday School, it's no one."

Once my daughter really started talking, my husband and I realized that she would be telling on us. There would be no more secret trips to McDonalds. The best was when I came home after running some errands and she was napping. When she woke up, I went to get her to discover she didn't have pants on. I asked her what happened to her pants and she told me that "daddy put my pants on his head!"

Oh there are so many things...one of them was when my daughter was around 4 yrs old.We were in the kitchen when she said...."I want butter on cwackers, Mommy. It's right dere....and don't forget to put honey on it!!"......then after I say I want her to have applesauce instead she says slowly and with firmness..."Just get started Mommy.....just... get...started." -pause- "You got my cracker started?? Oh, Mommy, I 'toad' you THREE times! Now I going to have to make it." I was laughing so hard I couldn't look at her.....she says everything with that cute little girl voice....doesn't have her L's down quite yet...!!

It's been so long since my girls were toddlers...sigh. :( They were both SO cute though, and always saying things that would crack me up! My oldest daughter Emily would sing constantly (and still does) for us. She'd stand up on something and sing her heart out and then once done, she'd bow and say "hank you, hank you, I'll be here allllllllll night", lol!!

Well, I am the mother of three and haven't even started doing the 3 childs' baby photos!!! Anyway, here's my story! While expecting my third baby, I had explained to my 2 boys that God was going to be "blessing" us with a baby, and how much I needed them to love her and help take care of her. Well, one day, a mother of a very large 8 mos old came over, who they had never met. They came in from outside, and seeing the baby, they scooped it up into their laps and were "sharing" taking care of it. They thought that this was the baby God was "blessing" them with! It was adorable! The baby was so good, and didn't seem to mind all their "loving", if you know how 2 toddler boys do that! Then I knew that they were going to be great BIG brothers!

I would have to say that the my story is that when my kids were toodlers and they used to get their pj's on they would take their shirt off and while they were doing that would leave it on their head and then they would say mom look at me and i would say you are such a silly willy and then the next time they did that. They would say mom look i am being silly willy!!! I know i have alot more. Like when my oldest was a baby he would put his whole first in his mouth and suck on that instead of one finger! LOL I have pictures of both!!!

These lines are so cute, they are making my ovaries ache! My toddler had this habit of coming to our bed in the middle of the night with the complaint that it was "raining in my room." Of course, it wasn't raining in his room. But we thought that was the funniest excuse to climb into bed with us. But one night I was in his room and had an "aha!" moment. There was a tree branch near his window and when the wind blew just right, it made the branch brush lightly against the window, sounding just like rain. I felt kind of bad for disbelieving my son all that time. It was raining in his room, or it at least it sounded like it was.

My story is not so much what was said but what was done. One day I was on the phone with my MIL and was a little distracted. After hanging up the phone I realized my then 2 yr old son was missing so I went looking for him. I heard some splashing noises in the bathroom and when I opened the door, I found him sitting in the toilet!! He was having a blast playing in the water. Luckily I'd been cleaning that morning. So my son was playing in a clean toilet! LOL!! And yes, I was a good scrapbooking mommy and ran to get the camera for pictures!!!
