Welcome to my kitchen! Well, actually it's as close as I could come to inviting you into my actual little vintage kitchen... A kitchen collection! I've called it SAVOR, and I hope you do!
Okay, now for a little about the story behind the collection:
Here she is, my sweet Gramma Sansen, sitting in her kitchen, probably copying a recipe to share. I want to dedicate this new collection to her, in loving memory. She is without doubt the sweetest soul I have ever known, and I miss her. This collection speaks to what she was about; home, family, food, fun and love.
I adored her. Valley was her name. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, in so many ways. I have wonderful memories of being in her kitchen, either helping or watching, chatting with her as she scurried around, lovingly preparing food for her family, stopping to consult her cookbook or to give grandpa a little kiss, humming and smiling as she went. {She made the BEST banana bread EVER!}
I'm so happy that I inherited one of her prized cookbooks, complete with her hand-written notes and favorite recipes jotted down in the margins. I've always wanted to do something special with those cookbooks, and now they have become part of the Savor paper designs.
Cooking is one of my passions, so this collection was especially meaningful to create. It's such a fulfilling experience to pour my love into some delicious food, and then to witness the enjoyment on the faces of those I love as we share it. That's pure delight for me. That's priceless, and I savor it. I'm looking forward to capturing those emotions and memories in some pages and projects with Savor, and I hope you will, as well. It's going to be perfect for all of our holiday baking photos! Mmmmmmm, can't wait!
Here's a little taste of some of the yummy pieces you'll find in the collection:
..... beautiful patterns on linen textured cardstock, canvas and fabric tags, borders, words, buttons, and more, darling pre-made mini banners, cardstock and chipboard goodies, just to mention a few!! It's hitting your LSS now, so go see the goodness for yourself!
Be watching for some beautiful projects we'll be posting, all featuring Savor, as well as GIVEAWAYS!! Maybe I'll even post Gramma's Banana Bread recipe! Check back and see!
Bon Apetit!
Sharon
I love this Savor collection. This resonates with all of us with who had the privilege of living with Angels on Earth - I had three Angels and miss them desperately!

Thank you for this set, but also the little snippets about your grand mother. Moving, sweet and what a wonderful way to honor her with this set. Thank you for reminding me of those wonderful summers in my grand mothers ranch kitchen! As always your site is an inspiration for me.

What a special tribute - I think many of us have someone like that - I know I do! I actually have designed my kitchen to be 40's farmhouse, because I love the era and memories so much.
