The LYB team meets regularly for planning and brainstorming at our headquarters in Connecticut. This summer, our quarterly meeting just happened to coincide with the peak of the roses blooming at Elizabeth Park in Hartford. So after a long day of work, we packed up a picnic dinner and headed out to take in the beauty. Just so happened that there was live music that night, too, so we got to enjoy that as well! Here are some fun images from our evening we'd love to share with you...
Here's Lori, looking out over the incredible view from a gorgeous gazebo, just taking it all in... She had no idea I was taking this picture... I think she was frozen. In awe. If you could see her from the other side, her mouth might have been hanging open. It was that beautiful. Roses, roses, and more roses...
Roses in astonishing abundance, and in the most amazing array of colors...

... and this.....
So, we just enjoyed the evening, feasting on our little picnic, the music and dancing, and the sweet sounds of happy people all around us. Ahhh, summertime....

We're gathering inspiration everywhere we go, and came away from this night feeling especially inspired, agreeing that we needed to do a summer collection and call it Elizabeth Park. Be watching for it!
Savor your sweet summer memories~

I used to live in the Hartford Area and Elizabeth Park is one of the places I miss the most. I was recently there for an event with a guided tour of the Rose Garden. I took a load of pictures. I would be delighted if you made a collection inspired by this unique gem, which I believe is the oldest municiple rose garden in the country. I would love to see you at Wiggles & Giggles or the New England Scrapbook Store.
