I was invited to a Creative Memories party in 1994. I left thinking it was dull and boring for my taste. I love color and accessories so I new I would not be a scrapbooker. I went to an expo in California where Sharon Ann was coming out with these gorgeous packaged paper collections in pinks, greens and blues. I had to pay extra for my luggage I brought so many packages back to Georgia for all my friends. I was hooked. So I feel I started with Sharon Ann and have stayed with you for years.

Scrapbooking saved my life you might say. I had a very bad injury to my right hand and arm, which I have now had 11 surgeries on. I couln't do most crafts like knitting etc. because of twisting of the wrist. But, I did find I could do scrapbooking with much success. It helped me to come out of a depressed mood that I was in. I could really do something very crafty and people appreciated my layouts and my card making. Scrapbooking has made a huge change in my life. I can really do SOMETHING !

I started scrapbooking around 4 years ago. We visited a local scrapbook store as a social event for our ladies' group, and I fell in love with it. I love to accessorize my pictures with the different colored papers, embellishments and techniques. I like going to crops and looking at other individuals creations to inspire my own.

I live in the Rocky Mountains near two fabulous ski resorts, but in the winter of 2006, I blew out my knee during ski season. It was this injury that caused me to start scrapping, because I was cooped up in the house on the weekends - bored. So...I joined an online site to learn how to scrapbook and to do something with all of the photos of my daughter. Way has led onto way and now I am completely addicted. I can ski again, but I have to say that there are many days when I would rather be scrapping than facing the elements on the mountain. LOL!

I took a class at the community center where I lived in 1996. I knew right then this was something I could continue doing, and I have for 14 years!

WOW! I've been scrapping for 12 years now and how things have CHANGED from my first page! I started when my oldest was almost a year old. I went to a Creative Memories party and did my first page there, still have it and love reminiscing over it. I love everything about scrapbooking and definitely can't get enough of it, or the endless variety of products that are out there today!!

I started in 2003 when a friend bought me some scrapping toys for Christmas. I thought she was nuts at the time, but now, I'm the biggest scrapper in the group!

I started Scrapbooking 3 years ago. I moved to a new, small town where I knew noone. My hubby told me I needed to find a hobby to have something to do. One day while at my daughter's school, I was invited to "Girl's Scrap Night" by one of the Mom's there. That's where my journey has began, we get together to scrap every 2 weeks for our "scrap night" out & occasional weekend away. The 3 ladies I scrap with have become not only my crafting pals but life long friends!

I just started scrapbooking this January. My mom got into doing some papercrafting and card making last summer. She invited my sister, sister-in-law, and I over one evening to teach us how to make a mini album (which she learned from reading some blogs). I was hooked from that point on!

I started scrapbooking 10 years ago when there wasn't much out there but stickers....of course I just HAD to fill up a paper/sticker binder that I never touch now!

I resisted scrapbooking for years. I always thought it was a "Mom's" hobby and, since I have no kids, it didn't seem like a fit for me. One day I stumbled upon a website called "Two Peas in a Bucket" and I was hooked. I saw pages about pets, about everyday life, heritage pages, you name it and I was hooked. Now I scrapbook about whatever I want and use all the great papers and embellishments to highlight my photography.

Well, I fought it for years!! I was determined not to get sucked into the lurid world of scrapbooking, but it happened!!! All it took was one gift of a scrapbook from my son's godmother to capture their memories through the years to change my view of this hobby! I know live and breathe it! I cruise all the blogs and manufacturer's sites daily and had to set up a scraproom in my house! LYB is the best because of all the coordinating products you offer to your terrific paper lines!!! I hope I win! Happy NSD!!!

I started scrapbooking when my niece was born 16 years ago. When my niece had a serious illness in her first year, I realized how precious my scrapbooks could really be. I fell in love with the way you can capture precious family memories and be creative at the same time. Once I discovered all of the products and talent on the internet in 2001, I became fully addicted. I have since used my scrapbooks to help family and friends deal with difficult losses and mend relationships. I love scrapbooking!

I started after my first son was born in 1996. I found myself standing over everyone who I would show prints of my son to, explaining every important detail. Scrapbooking was the perfect solution - I was able to be creative, have something for myself and be able to create lasting memories. 2 more kids later and I cherish every single page I have created.

I started attending a monthly scrap night at church after my son died. I sat and listened and watched. It was probably two years before I really started doing my own pages. I think that my scrap nights were really healing therapy nights.

I started scrapbooking about 10 years ago but really got into it when I had my first child 7 years ago. I saw it as a way to document the moments of life, express myself creatively & keep a part of my "pre-Mommy" self alive.

I adopted from the state DCF and we had to make a scrapbook of our family, house, pets, etc. so the child would feel more comfortable getting to know us before they actually did. I became hooked on scrapbooking and haven't stopped since. That was in 2006 and we have a beautiful daughter now who will turn five this month!

I was more involved in art than crafts, but was always interested in mixed media products I could use. I first became aware of scrapbooking way back in 1996, after my first child was born, though it wasn't until 2003, and after working in a scrapbooking store from 1999, that I became hooked. I decided to enter a couple of contests, MMM and HOF, in both 2003 and 2004, and after placing and winning respectively, I was dropped into design full time and loved it! I've been scrapbooking in either a personal or professional capacity since. When LYB came along, I was in heaven. Love your designs.

I started scrapbooking in 1995, right before my husband and I got married. I feel like the scrapbooking industry has come so far over the past 15 years and LYB is one of my favorite companies to have "sprung up". LYB is such a fantastic company!

I began scrappin in 1997, when my family moved from East TN to the Atlanta area. I was homesick, I was bored and I wanted something to occupy my time, so I pulled out my kids pics and found a local store which sold supplies and I haven't looked back since. I now have a wonderful scrapbook/craft/sewing room that is all my own and I love being able to lock myself away and be creative.

I started scrapping as a teenager with an album that had kraft pages--I taped in special items & photos with scotch tape, and made notes by them with ball point pen. In 1998 I started scrapping the modern way after I received some supplies for a couple of different gifts. People kept giving me scrappy items as gifts, and I finally decided it was meant to be. Now it is an obsession, and I am begging people to buy me scrapbook supplies for gifts!

I got started in scrapbooking back in 2003. My sister was doing it and I decided that I too needed a Hobby. I didn't have any children then so I had extra money after the bills were paid. I now have a 6 yr old son and my sister no longer scrapbooks even though she had 3 beautiful daughters to preserve their memories.
I LOVE LYB and always get your latest line from Achivers...LOVE the Clothesline papers!!

I began scrapping in a round-about way. For years, many of my friends kept telling me about what a terrific craft scrapbooking was, but I resisted. That all changed when I quit smoking the Sunday before Katrina hit New Orleans (where all of my extended family lives). It was one of the hardest times of my life. Each day that I did not smoke, as reward, I put the $ I'd have spent on a pack of cigarettes in a crystal jar. The money was to be spent on something I wouldn't normally purchase. Within 6 months I had enough money to buy my 1st dslr camera. With that, I began taking these amazing photos of friends, family, everyday stuff and could no longer put off joining the scrapbooking world. Still smoke free after almost 5 years, I scrap every week! No looking back now. Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity and happy NSD everyone!

My friends starting scrapbooking about 15 years ago. They tried to get me to start but I didn't have a family and said I had nothing to scrapbook. Finally they convinced me to scrapbook. I started with different important things in my life that I had pictures for. Then, current things and older pictures. Now, I have a boyfriend and have been scrapbooking our life together.

I started scrapbooking 24 (yep 24!) years ago after hearing on the radio how you could "enjoy a free dinner, and learn how to preserve your memories." It was being held at a local restaurant, so I had my Mom go with me...we were all up for the FREE dinner. The event was being put on by a comapany called Shoebox to Showcase, what is now called Creative Memories. Well, I spent way more $$$ than the dinner would have cost on deckle scissors and patterned paper, but that's how my love for scrapbooking started!!! Four kids and hundreds of layouts later, I still love scrapbooking!!!

I started scrapping 13 years ago when my youngest daughter was home sick one day. At that time there weren't very many places that you could buy scrap supplies unless you went to a home party. So I used what I had to do a page about her 12th b-day. To this day when I look at that page I just laugh at what it looks like but I would never change it.

I began making photo albums when my first child was born (19 years ago) and put the pictures in the sticky type of books and added journaling rectangles under the pictures -before I knew that was the thing to do! Little did I know how bad those photo books were, now my pictures are yellowing, but I am working to properly scrap them with quality paper! I have been seriously scrapbooking for about 10 years.

I began scrapping 14 years ago. When my husband and I got married, I gained 2 wonderful men (my husband and his 5 year old son). I wanted my son to have memories to be able to look back at over the years. It was very enjoyable when he was younger, because he liked to "help" me scrap and we grew very close during those scrap nights. I am truly blessed.

After my trip to Hawaii with my sister in 1982 she and I made a scrapbook of sorts using a magnetic album, a white color pencil and our photos and things like maps, brochures and napkins from our trip. I started scrapbooking again about 14 years ago when the rest of the world caught up : )

I don't know what made me want to start scrapbooking. Heck, I've never even seen a scrapbook page or been to a scrapbook or craft store. I just woke up one morning and said, "hey, I think I'm going to pick up scrapbooking". The first thing I did was visit my local scrapbook store. I was overwhelmed with everything that surrounded me, so I did what I do best - I went home and googled! The first page that came up under my "scrapbook examples" search was less than motivational. Then it happened; I clicked on the two peas gallery. I immediately added the site to my favorites and pretty much visited it every day. Because of the wonderful gallery, I was inspired to create long lasting memories for not just myself, but for friends, family, and my soon-to-be children =P.

I got started scrapbooking almost 12 years ago. A friend of mine and I decided we wanted to put together an album of all of our pictures so we used magazine cut out letters and those magnetic adhesive albums (ahh!) and stuck all of our "scraps" and photos in there. A few years later I visited my sister at Utah and visited Pebbles in My Pocket- my first visit to an LSS! The scrapbook industry has since evolved into this amazing hobby of beautiful paper and fabulous embellies....LOVE IT!!

I originally bought scrapbook paper and stickers for my daughter who was in Jr. High. (That was about 8 years ago) I thought it would be an inexpensive hobby for her to do. Well, I now have a cabinet full of supplies and love sitting down and creating with my paper and "stuff". My daughter still scrapbooks when she's home from college. I love the mother/daughter time.

I went to a Creative Memories party about 7 yrs ago and I thought the idea to craft around your pictures was genius! At the time, I was single with no kids, so I was able to focus on me and my friends. Oh and I remember the total scrapping faux pas to use patterned paper. That was a no-no. Oh man, how times have changed!

I don't remember exactly WHY I started scrapbooking. I started scrapping soon after I adopted my now 13 year old daughter from Russia. It has been my passion ever since. She enjoys it too as do her almost 10 year old Russian cousins! We love to scrap together when they spend the night! It is safe to say that their lives are very well documented!!!

My friend wanted me to go with her to a class at a LSS because she wanted to make albums for her graduating daughters. I kept saying NO as I am OCD about all crafty things that I get involved in. Well, on May 10, 2001 God gave me a precious little grand daughter after raising 2 rotten sons! Soooo, of course you know what happened - I signed up for a class with my friend. We laugh because I have completed several albums and she just has a the supplies for the albums. I truly enjoy scrapping and have gone back and scrapped albums for both sons. My grand daughter will be 9 in a few days and I often find her looking at the album of when she was a baby and she reads all the journaling and knows how excited I was that she was going to bless my life. It's funny too that my boys would kid me about scrapbooking but just the other day I overheard my son tell his daughter to "keep that ticket stub so Grammy can put it in your scrapbook". Shelby now has her own little scrapbook that she likes to work on when she is spending time at Grammys house. So, not only am I handing down memories for her but also the desire for her to do the same!

My first 'scrapbook' was in 2001-2002, after a family trip to Hershey Park. I remember I saved every piece of memorabilia from that trip - napkins, food picks, brochures, ticket stubs, etc. When I got back I just put them all into one of those old 3ring albums with the adhesive sheets. Not much technique or patterned papers. I still have that album.
Then a few years later, when I was pregnant with DS#1 I was searching online and found the Scrapbook.com website and there was no turning back. I've been scrapping ever since, loving how scrapbooking has evolved over the years. Now we have more patterened papers, embellishments, albums, etc to choose from. I really don't know what I would do if scrapbooking didn't exsist!

I was watching QVC and talking to my sister on the phone. She said she would love to scrapbook. I told her to turn on the TV and watch. On a whim, I decided to place an order and that's how I got started.

Hi, I am a 51 yr old mom of two teenagers. I started scrapbooking before it was even called scrapbooking. I made albums with cards and pictures back in the 70's. After many years, I made an album for my grandfathers's 90th birthday. Following that, I was invited to a Creative Memories party in the 90's and I have been scrapbooking ever since. I have made yearly albums for my kids of their school year. Now, I have so many scrapbooking supplies that we have finished off a place in our basement so I can invite my friends to come and scrapbook. Love the new lines at LYB and the title LYB.

I was always a card maker, but after my bff had her daughter, she shoved a bunch of photos my way and told me to scrapbook them! I actually didn't scrapbook for myself for many years later.

Since I was old enough to have a camera I have been a scrapbooker in one way or another. However I really dived in about 7 years ago when one of my friends showed me her book. Since then I have been addicted! I think scrapbooking is a wonderful way of preserving life's special moments! I love using your products to create my lo's!

I started scrapbooking in 1998 when my oldest son was born. He was born at 29 weeks and was in the NICU, so I spent alot of time looking at the pictures we had taken when I wasn't with him. A friend had given me a boxed scrapbook set and I thought it was a great way to keep those precious photos. 11 years later and I am still scrapping!!

I started scrapbooking in 1996 after a family trip to Disney World. I wanted to do something with all the photos and memorabilia from that trip. A friend was a Creative Memories consultant and she got me started on this great hobby.

I started scrapbooking when I was 4 or 5 years old. I would save birthday cards, letters from my gramma's, cut things out of magazines that I liked, or just draw and write things. My mom made me a book out of big paper with poster board covers and bound with book rings-I still love book rings! About 20 years later my sis and I were on vacation together in Canada and we brought our supplies (we had been collecting for a while!)and would work on our photos after her kids were in bed. I was hooked and have been scrapbooking hardcore ever since.

I did my very first scrapbook back in 1975ish.. I even had the forethought to use a black paper album... there is even journalling on bits of lined paper...
I love it and would not change a thing.. well maybe the cover because it is falling apart!!

I started scrapping when my SIL introduced me to it when I was 20. It started with making cards and I thought it was such an old lady thing to do :) I never looked back though and now I'm obsessed.

I started scrapbooking 14 years ago when I was hugely pregnant with my son. A friend suggested that instead of doing a traditional baby book, I could "scrap" all those great memories. She showed me her scrapbook and I've been a die-hard scrapper ever since. This is the perfect hobby! Who knew we were all so artistic? And, what a fun way to spend time with friends. Happy National Scrapbook Day!

I started scrapbooking after a coworker showed me her beautiful scrapbook. I started soon after my first child was born.
I love all the LIttle Yellow Bicycle products- thanks for a great opportunity to try some new stuff.

Who knew that a simple invitation from a friend to attend a CM crop would turn into many, many albums; altered art journals; mini-albums; cards; and a serious addiction to pretty papers?

It all started with wanting to "decorate" my travel album. I didn't want just windows and windows of photos that are meaningless and don't tell a story. A friend then suggested doing a scrapbook. I didn't know what a scrapbook was a year ago, the idea I had was something a 10-year-old would think of. Lots of stickers, cut shapes, marker pens lining the perimeter, etc. Until I Googled and visited the local scrapbook store. A new world opened up! I started the hobby in Jun 2009. Looking at my stash, you wouldn't think I've only started a year ago! I've never looked back since. Money that was previously spent on clothes, shoes, bags, accessories now make way for my scrapbook stash! My boyfriend chanced upon my stack of receipts spent over the past 6 months... He merely quipped, "Did you know them amount you spend can easily buy you 2 return air tickets to UK?" LOL!
It still baffles me from time to time, how much time and money has been spent on this hobby. And I enjoy every moment of it.

In 1981 I had to keep a journal for an English class. I began gluing ephemera into the spiral notebook. When the class ended, I continued, and the journal became much more free. I continued the journal and when I was introduced to scrapbooking, it was a natural progression to what is now known as my 28 year love of "art journaling." By the way, I now do both scrapbooking and keep a journal.

I went to a CM crop 9 years ago and ordered a big kit on the first night. I loved it! I can't believe how scrapbooking trends have changed in less than a decade!

I started scrapping around 1998 back when you cut your pictures in circles and used all kinds of decorative scissors. I love all the gorgeous papers and embellishments that are available now.

I always did the "old-fashioned" style of scrapbooks and still have them in my grandmothers old cedar chest that I now own. In 95 I read an article about creative memories and signed up to be a consultant without ever having seen their product or completed a page. Once my kit arrived and I followed the instructions to complete my demo album I was hooked. Needless to say the rest is history. Now my two girls (16, 10) are also hooked and love to join me at home or whatever crops I will take them too.
