I started scrapbooking in '99 for an English project my senior year. It was probably the most honest, detailed journaling I've ever done. (and it was all done with only paper and photos, can you imagine!) :)

My first scrapbooks were in college a bazillion years ago (okay, late '80s) -- fun sorority stuff and my trip to Europe had to be documented. My recent scrapping started when my first child was born in 2004.

It all started in 1997, when I bought a crafting-book on sale.. and now -tree years later- I have to admit, that it is the most expensive book, I have ever bought in a sale ;-)

I started scrapping when I was a senior in high school and I'm 25 now. My mom and my aunt were already avid scrappers. I really started scrapping the year I surprised my mom and showed up for Scrapfest at the Mall of America. My aunt and I schemed and that weekend really changed my outlook on how i wanted to keep my photo memories. We still go every year and plan on keeping that tradition! We've taken a LYB class every year, too! Definitely a group favorite. The best thing, though, is sharing this hobby with my family!

I began scrapbooking when my daughter was born. I was making a gift book for my mother in law. I love looking back now at how my style has evolved :)

I got started in 1995 after being invited to a CM crop. I didn't go but loved the idea of scrapbooking since I had been a huge sticker fan since the age of 7-8. I went to a LSS and have been going strong since!!

I took my first vacation after started working for a year. I loved the photos I took from the trip and want more than just a regular photo album to house them. One thing lead to another and I ended up with my first scrapbook.

I started scrapbooking in 1997 after we moved to Boise - before that I hadn't heard of scrapbooking. I walked into a scrapbook store and I was hooked.

I've been doing some form of scrapbooking ever since I was a little girl..loved to keep journals with 'pasted' pics and doodleing! Several years later- still love it! I really started getting into "advanced" scrapbooking about 12 years ago when my 1st son was born!
Happy NSD, Everyone!

I started scrapbooking so many years ago, too long to remember. Started out using pictures and those caption clouds and graduated to using stickers, LOL. Then I got into geneology and that is when I got serious. Now I scrap for not only the memories, but for therapy - it's so relaxing for me.

I was the historian for my college service organization, so I guess you could say I started scrapbooking then (that was almost 20 years ago!!). But from a personal standpoint, I really got into scrapping my own life about a year after the birth of my son. My sister got involved with Creative Memories and told me I should ditch those old magnetic albums...and 10 years later and $$ of supplies later...the rest is history. :)

I got started scrapping about 11 years ago. Since then I have been blessed to see our family grow by a daughter-in-law, a son--in-law and three grandbabies. I want to preserve our family memories so my grandchildren will have a sense of who are family is and where we have all come from.

I was a stamper way before I ever discovered scrapbooking! I happened to be driving by a small LLS that had hung a sign out near the street and became intrigued. After walking into the store, I knew immediately that I had found THE way to record all my memories. That was 10 years ago. Ever since then, I have attended classes, CKU's workshops and many, many retreats. The best part (aside from creating) has been making so many good friends along the way.

I started scrapbooking when I almost lost my life in 2006. I had some heart problems that caused my heart to speed up and the emergency room personnel actually had to shock my heart back in rhythym. I found that I wasn't leaving my children with any knowledge of their ancestry. So I have been scrapping ever since. Tracing the family history has lead to family that I personally didn't know either.

I first got interested in scrapbooking when my daughter had a scrapnight during one of her girl scout meetings in 2005. I just loved all the bits and pieces that her leader had. The very first day I started scrapbooking, is the day that I got a call from the doctor's office saying that I had cancer. I just couldn't scrapbook anymore because I was too overwhelmed with tests and doctor's visits. Luckily, it was caught early and I am now cancer-free, but after our first vacation after all my treatments I came home and scrapbooked two full albums in one week. I haven't stopped since then!!

I began to scrapbook in 1999. At my request, I received some scrapbook materials for XMas. I then bought a bk. about how to do it. It wasn't until Spring Break that I got the confidence to sit down & actually cut a photo. I began an album about our most recent vacation. My addiction became apparent that summer when I was off work. I always had scrapbook stuff on the kitchen table. I began & ended my day working on pages. I think I may have even dreamed about layouts!

I began scrapping when I wandered into a scrapbook store while out shopping. I have always enjoyed crafts- so the mecca of patterned paper and fun details in front of me had me hooked. I am a total product junkie- it's my favorite part of this craft- all the fun stuff!

I've scrapbooked most of my life. As a teenager with the kraft pages, as a new mother in 1989 using magnetic albums and journalling, and then in 1996 with a Creative Memories party. I haven't stopped since!

Hmmm...I did post once already, but it seems to have disappeared! I was a confirmed cross stitcher but a trip to Disney World in 1999 changed my confirmation FOREVER!! I went to a crop soon after our trip and found my true love...scrapbooking! I have about 20 family albums completed with many more gift albums, altered projects, mini albums, baby albums...and many more on my list to do. I love LYB and would love to win whatever goodies you choose to send me!!

I started scrapbooking in the 1996 or 1997 after I picked up one of the first issues of Creating Keepsakes. I dallied a bit as a teenager with a scrapbook about St. Bernard dogs, because I always thought I wanted one. Still don't have one, but love scrapbooking to this day!

I was fortunate enough to begin this scrapbooking journey because of a senior project in high school. I have been scrapbooking for 11 years because of my high school Literature teacher who required each graduating student in his class to create a scrapbook, including a family tree, letters from loved ones, literary quotes from authors we'd studied that year, and our own poetry and prose. As soon as I began the project, I was hooked. Not only were a couple of the poems I'd written for the project published, but I found my heart and passion in visual journaling and scrapbooking.
I don't think many of us realized at teh time how important those scrapbooks woudl become, but I know that my friends and I all cherish them dearly today. :)
Thank you for a chace to win such a wonderful NSD collection! <3

I started scrapping after getting really bed medical news. I was going in for surgery and my doctor told me to get my affairs in order. My daughter was 4 months old and my son was 3 years old. I wrote very long letters to each of them about everything and anything I felt was important, in case something had happened. I was fine and after my recovery, I decided that I needed to scrap my thoughts and stories I wrote in their letters.

I wanted to divide family pictures for our kids as they were starting to leave home. I was looking for things to do while I recouped from surgery and found scrapbooking. Never looked back! It's been ten years.

It was back in 1997, I was wandering the isles of Michaels, after my DS was born a few weeks earlier. My DH had suggested I get out by myself cause I was suffering from a little post partum deppression, when I stumbled onto a Frances Meyer Baby Boy Scrapbook kit. I just knew this was for me! I began scrapbooking about 11 years after my husband's death. I had all this "stuff" he had given me over 17 years and I had to find a way to preserve it. I went to a free scrapbooking class at my local library and learned how to organize greeting cards, his notes, some on scrap paper, photos of us, our history. I haven't looked at these albums in years, but I know they're safe.

I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago after the death of my son and 10 days later, the death of my sister. Needless to say it was a hard time for all of my family. My daughter-in-law started scrapbooking as a way to help her grieve the passing of her husband (my son) and invited me to a Close To My Heart party. I saw it as a way to help me with my grief and it has helped tremendously. Between the two of us, we have made scrapbooks of Eric's life for both of the boys and my daughter. My next project is to make scrapbooks about my sister to give them as well. Scrapbooking has truly been a blessing for all of us.

I started scrapbooking when I was in seventh grade. I got started doing so because my mom has always been into it. The first things I scrapbooked were pictures of me and my friends and I would slip them into the front of those binders that you can see in. Products have come SO far since then! I still can't believe all of the cool things that are coming out every week.

My mom actually got me into scrapbooking in about 7th or 8th grade. She was always pulling out all this stuff with boxes of pictures and spending hours working on different pages with all these different photos from events or things that had happened so far in my life and my sister's life. I got started scrapbooking just before the birth of my DS 12 yrs ago. When Close to my heart (called D.O.T.S. back then) was still a new company.
Little did I know how many awesome products where to come from so many great manufacturers. Or how huge my addciton would become and I have loved every second of it.
Love LYB thanks for the chance at a great
give-a-way.

I started scrapbooking almost 7 years ago. My husband and I were engaged at the time. There was this store next to where he got his hair cut. I always thought it was a stationary store. Well, we had to change our reception at the last minute and I needed to print out information cards of where it was moving too. So, I finally went into the store next door. I was amazed. As a child, I loved paper and pens. I couldn't get enough of them and I would buy Mrs. Grossman stickers. So when I walked into this store and saw all of the paper, pens, stickers, doo dads, etc... I was in heaven. I dove into scrapbooking right away and haven't stopped since.
Thanks for this opportunity and for letting us share how we all got started into this crazy hobby.

I signed up the local community college when they had a FREE day of workshops. I had never heard of scrapbooking (this was 1996).The teacher was a CM consultant. I haven't stopped yet!

I started with cards and it evolved in scrapbooking by reading about it in a magazine, about three years ago.

I started scrapping when my oldest was born in 1996. I remember personally calling different paper companies to find out if their paper was acid-free or not. I started a little webpage from there, which grew and grew. I got to attend some of the big craft shows because of that little webpage ten years ago. The webpage is gone, but my love for scrapbooking is not.

I started scrapping about 10 years ago when a friend of mine introduced me to it. We were working at a brand new (at the time) urgent care center and that concept hadn't quite caught on so we had a lot of spare time on our hands!! Today we both still love our shared hobby!! I love capturing all the fun times (and the not so fun times) of my life and my kids love looking at the books and remembering!Thank you for the opportunity to win an awesome prize!!

I started scrapbooking about several years ago. I at the time had 4 young children (now 5) and was being completely swallowed up in all the pictures that I had (plus I had recently acquired all of my dad's family photos dating back to my grandmother's youth). A friend invited me to crop with her. Helped me get the basics that I needed to get started. Now it is my therapy my escape and time to reminisce about my babies as they grow up way to fast.
