We are very happy to share some beautiful Hello Spring! projects from Cycling Team Member Lisa Swift. Lisa's knack for layering elements on her pages was perfect for our colletion and her bright spring page really shows our collection, but let's have Lisa tell you all about it...
Thank you to Little Yellow Bicycle for the opportunity to be part of the Hello Spring Cycling Team! I really love the fresh, fun colors in this collection and the highlight, for me, was the vast selection of embellishments. There's everything from stickers to chipboard to transparencies to bling and more! I think I used a bit of everything on here. LOL! I even layered some of the chipboard with a sticker and journaling spot to create a place for the singing bird to rest. Don't be afraid to alter your embellishments, like cutting a word sticker into a banner shape or adding a jewel here and there. Another fun embellishment is the stick pins. They're so easy to tuck here and there and are so cute when topped with a jewel. Part of my style includes sewing on most of my pages and this one is no exception. I like how the border stitching frames the entire page, drawing your eye into the central elements.
Next up is a card I made for my daughter's upcoming dance recital. I worked the design elements around the word "dance" in the text paper since that is what I wanted to focus on. I added in a couple of layered banners, an additional butterfly, a stickpin and some sewing. In order to secure the stickpin, I used a small glue dot behind the flower but I also tacked it down with two small stitches using some embroidery floss. Super easy, super quick and super simple...
My last project is a card I made for my daughter's birthday (I'm thinking she made out pretty well with this collection, LOL). This one uses the text paper as well, but from the 6x6 paper pad. I used one of the chipboard pieces as a frame and then worked the other elements around it. The pins are tucked into the felt flower and then two word stickers are layered on top. I personalized the card by adding in some letter stickers.
So, if you've had your eye on this collection, I highly recommend it. It may be named Hello Spring, but, as you can see, you can definitely use it for a lot more. :) Happy scrapping!
We have been so please with what all of our designers have created this month with our Hello Spring! collection and Lisa's work is no exception. Please visit her blog Remember the Good Times for more ideas and inspiration.
Hope you had a great holiday weekend here in the states and got to play a lot.
Happy Tuesday -

We are so pleased to share some wonderful projects from our newest Hello Spring! cycling team member Juliana Michaels. She was able to get a lot of mileage out of this collection, but let's have Juliana tell you all about it...
Working with the Hello Spring collection was an absolute joy for me! The projects seemed to just "grow" on their own due to the bright, cheerful colors and designs of each piece included in this collection. And the fabulous embellishments seemed to find their place with ease on each project!
For my first layout, entitled Hello Spring, I took one of the Clear Cut frames and trimmed it to create a larger frame for my photo. I also enjoyed mixing the Clear Cut Shapes and Chipboard Shapes to provide a bit of dimension. On several of my layouts I used the Tear-out Ticket & Journaling Book for my journaling. I am in love with these!!!
My next layout, Happy, was a real joy thanks to these adorable photos of my niece! I again used a mix of the Clear Cut Shapes and Chipboard Shapes to embellish my layout. I dressed up the large chipboard butterfly by giving her antenna created using the Hello Spring Stick Pins.
This collection has some adorable embellishments just begging to be used on an Easter layout and that is exactly what I did. I created a 2 page layout, Happy Easter, about dying Easter eggs with my family this year. The Chipboard Shapes and Fabric Favorites included some adorable bunnies and eggs that were perfect! I cut off the top and bottom of the "A Perfect Moment" Ticket from the Tear-out Ticket & Journaling Book. I then adhered the lined paper part inside the pink frame form the Chipboard Shapes to create my journaling space.
For my final layout, Celebrate, I knew I had to play with the Paper Flower Kit! I mean...how cool are these?! Tons and tons of paper flowers that you can mix and match and create your own design! I choose to lightly mist each one, crinkle it and then let it dry (with the help of my heat gun!) to give them a distressed look. I also distressed the scallop edge of the Decorative Edge paper as well. Other than using a piece of the 6 x 6 Decorative Edge Paper and the 12 x 12 Decorative Edge Paper, I didn't use any other paper on this layout!
My last project is a birthday card. When I saw this cute little chipboard bunny with music notes on his belly it just said "Hoppy" Birthday to me! The Fresh Verse Cardstock Stickers come with an adorable alphabet, but I needed 2 P's for my title, so I created one. I used a white gel pen to change the R sticker into another P!

We are so pleased with the versatility of our wedding collection Swoon. No matter who makes a project with this collection of blacks, grays, whites and creams, they all seem to be spectacular. Today is no excpetion. We invited back Cycling Team member Kristine Berc to play with some of the beautiful collection. But let's have her tell you a little more about it...
I waited almost 7 years to scrap this wedding photo! I'm really picky about the papers that I use for my pages, and I hadn't found the right ones to use for this photo until I recently got my hands on Swoon. The collection looks beautiful online... but in person... woooooooooooooooooow... perfectly gorgeous!
I LOVE the paper flower kit which I used several pieces of along with some pretty cardstock stickers.
The self-adhesive jewels and pearls made it so easy to dress the flowers up, and I love that so many of them come in the package.
With the help of an embossing folder, a couple of metal dies, a border punch, satin ribbon, and Stickles, this card came together in no time.
I love the sophistication of Swoon!
Please visit Kristine's blog A Stash of Pretty Paper for more beautiful and inspiring ideas. We love to see what she does with our collections!
Thank you for stopping by!

We are really smitten with our Cycling Team Member Jennifer McCracken's old school Hollywood style with our Swoon collection. Jennifer really added a lot of glamour to our beautiful collection with her wonderful photos and design. But let's have Jennifer tell you all about it...
Hi everyone! I am SO thrilled to share my first project with you! I feel like I need a drumroll or something…this is my very first time being a guest designer. I am nervous and excited all in the same breath! When I first received all of the goodies in the mail I didn’t know where to begin. All of the ideas starting to “Swoon” in my head so I decided to start with the obvious- my wedding. Believe it or not- I’ve never had the opportunity to scrapbook ANY of my photos! This collection is just beautiful…from the soft colors, gorgeous flowers, to all of the wonderful embellishments that go with it. I discovered there’s so much to this collection that it could go with just about any kind of wedding photo (or color scheme) you want to scrap (reception, posed, dancing, funny, etc.).
I am an embellishment girl (as my best friend calls me) and the more dimension and layers- the better! I used one large photo (5x7) as my focal point. I matted it with 5 1/8 x 7 1/8 cardstock. I then added several pieces of patterned paper behind and began to add flowers and layer chipboard pieces around the lower right hand corner. I also added pearls to the flower and chipboard to add some elegance.
From there I extended a chipboard border from that cluster to draw the eye to the left hand side of the layout towards the adhesive strip and added gemstones to those as well.
Up in the right hand corner I included three doves as if they were flying off of the page- 2 chipboard doves plus one sticker with a pop dot.
Cream cardstock- 12 x 12
Shimmer grey cardstock- 11 ¾ x 11
SW 109 modern elegance- 10 ¾ x 10 ¾
SW 105 unveiled- 9 x 5 (matted 9 1/8 x 5 1/8)
SW 107 paisley Entwined- 8 x 6 (matted 8 1/8 x 6 1/8)
SW 279 chipboard shapes
SW 305 paper flower kit
SW 197 pearl and jewel stickers
SW 135 cardstock stickers- favorite pieces
SW 140 cardstock stickers- fresh verse
In each of the envelopes I wrote to my husband how I loved what HE did to make the day special (since I did most of the planning!) for me. There were only five envelopes so to finish the grid I punched squares to “fill in the blanks” and decorated them with various stickers and flowers.
Then to ground the actual photo I slid a journaling card underneath it, added some more pearls (I am LOVING the pearls apparently!) and adhered the fourth envelope to it.
For the bottom left-hand corner I wanted to ground the title sticker so I added some paper flowers behind it as well as on top of it….again- using brads and pearls to jazz it up!
To start I used the decorative edge cardstock as the matting for the photo. I think it’s just beautiful to use when your focal point is one photo. I used the Wedding March patterned paper to ground that. From there I concentrated on my title- LOVE. I put it in the lower right-hand corner layered over a clear cut circle and a punched circle. I filled in flowers and butterflies around it- adding special touches such as jewels and pins.
In the top corner of the page I used more chipboard and fabric flowers, butterflies, and clear cut shapes on top of and behind the photo- again, adding more pearls and jewels.
SW 106 Wedding March
SW 122 Decorative Edge Cardstock
SW 279 Chipboard pieces
SW 230 Clear Cut Shapes
SW 305 Paper Flower Kit
SW 135 Cardstock Stickers- Favorite Pieces
SW 197 Pearl and Jewel Stickers
That’s it! Thank you SO much for allowing me to share all of my layouts from The Swoon Collection and coming along with me for my first ride with Little Yellow Bicycle! I’ve had a blast and I’ve enjoyed the challenge. It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with such great products and great people. I’m sad to see it come to an end but hopefully I’ll be back soon!
Thank you Jennifer for your wonderful projects. Please visit Jennifer McCracken's blog Scrappin' McCracken for more inspiration.

We are so excited to share these fun projects with Saturdays Cycling Team Member Sarah de Guzman. Sarah's style along with her adorable furry friends makes a winning combination. Let's have Sarah tell you a little more about it.
When I first received my box of goodies from LYB, I was swooning for days. This Saturdays line is more than just perfect for all of your projects; it's gorgeous and elegant as well. The deep, rich colors of this line make it easy to use with any of your photos. In the layouts that I created, I used both people and pet photos, and it worked out great on all layouts!
Oh, and if you haven't seen LYB's coordinating embellishments for the Saturdays line, you need to check them all out. There's a good handle of them to work with. My favorite ones in this line were the Fabric Favorites and the Paper Flower Kit. (I have detail shots of some of these items). Both are so simple, but they add so much "wow" to your projects! All of the coordinating stickers are also fun to work with.
Overall, one of my favorite LYB lines.
Please visit Sarah's blog Red Oak Lines for more inspiration from her.
Check back tomorrow for more Swoon inspiration from Guest Designer Stacey Michaud.
Have a wonderful day!

We are so excited to introduce Swoon Cycling Team Member Julie Ranae Murray. She brings a wonderful passion to cardmaking and today is no exception, especially with so many weddings on the horizon, but let's have Julie tell you all about it...
" I am so excited to have this opportunity to share my designs with the fans of Little Yellow Bicycle. The 'Swoon' collection is a beautifully elegant set and SO very versatile for all sorts of paper crafts.
I was very inspired to create wedding cards, as I have a niece who is getting married this summer. I would love to take this same collection and create a memory album to match, so that is next on my creative list!
The designs and subtle textures of each of the papers made me think of a patchwork quilt, so my first card has an 'elegant' quilt design. I used only two different sheets from the collection, but used both sides of the paper. I simply cut them to fit the size of the front panel and rounded the corners of each square.
The 'Paper Flowers' kit is perfect for creating layered flowers. There are subtle designs on each of these flowers which help add dimension to the card. I used the 'Jewel' stickers for the centers...Easy Peasy!
I love how easy LYB makes it to layer elements to take this card to the next level. I added the sentiment & dove from the 'Fabric Favorites', a small acetate rose vine from 'Clear Cuts' and additional pearls to finish it off.
As soon as I saw the 'Wedding March' paper, I knew I needed to use it as the focus of a card. For this one, I created a 'wallpaper' background using not only paper, but a border from 'Cardstock' stickers and paper from the 'Decorative Edge' set.
Once again, I made flowers using the 'Paper Flowers' kit. I love that there was a rosette that could be created that matched the music paper. How gorgeous are those stick pins?
I added the sentiment and a couple of tiny pearls and again...simple and elegant.
For this card, I wanted to use the sentiment 'With this Ring' from the 'Journaling Cards' set as my inspiration for the entire card, so I used a circle die cut and created 'rings' using a variety of the beautiful textured papers.
I think my favorite thing in this collection are the sentiments from 'Fabric Favorites' and this one is no exception. I love the silky texture of each one and by adding a few gems, including one to create a bride's engagement ring, it was a great finishing touch.
Each of these cards was very easy to create if you just think 'layers'. LYB have made this collection so simple to layer, as each element works perfectly together.
I hope you found some inspiration for the weddings that you have in your future.
I thank Little Yellow Bicycle for the opportunity to share my designs today. It's been an awesome experience! "
Wow, wow, wow! Wonderful projects from Julie. Please visit her blog Julie's Open Window for more inspiration.
Bet there are some weddings this month that will need some cards! Happy crafting.

We are very happy to share Misty Willis' work with our gorgeous Saturdays collection! She has some very clever ideas to share on how to use our 5 Things Envelopes and our Paper Flower Kits...but let's have Misty tell you all about it.
Hi Everyone! I am was so excited to be invited to cycle along with everyone at LYB and to get to create with this BEAUTIFUL "Saturdays" collection! Every single piece is so beautiful and masterfully constructed...I almost didn't want to cut into anything! I said ALMOST!
The very first project that I did was using the "5 Things I love about You" kit. This kit has a title strip and 5 envelopes with little notecards inside each one. I could not resist the temptation to utilize these pieces to "enhance" my son's name and his personality.
Since my son's name is only 5 letters long, I used one envelope for each letter in his name. This helped to complete the title..."5 Things I Love About You...Tamon."
But...I took that a little bit farther. On the notecards, I used the letters in his name to make words that described him even better. For example...one of the cards has:
Thankful
Attractive
Manly
Opinionated
Noisy
It was not easy to come up with 5 words that started with the letter "O" to describe my son! Just sayin'!!!! LOL I added in some paint and some stitches and twine, then I distressed the edges and stitched it up again...all things to help enhance the masculine feel to this layout. When I was finished, I realized that I had a kid peeking over my shoulder with a satisfied smile...and then, with a nod of approval, he walked away...reminding me that THIS is why I scrapbook.
He later told me that it made him feel good to read all the words that I used to describe him...and that it described him to a "T"! LOL
The next project I did utilized my daughters first pair of boots...well, one of them anyway!
Down here in Texas, The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is a HUGE thing. Seriously...it is a major event, and all retailers, schools, businesses, pretty much everyone celebrates and "Goes Texan" for the 2 months of rodeo. Offices decorate, kids dress up, and even people who would NEVER wear a hat or boots on a regular day go out and buy one if they get the chance to go to the Rodeo. I decided to help my kids' elementary school decorate a bit, and made this boot pen holder. This is an actual boot that I simply put floral foam inside.
I used the paper flowers kit, stick pins and chipboard buttons to decorate ball point pens to look like flowers were growing out of the boot. I tossed in some twine, burlap, and a touch of gingham ribbon and the "plain ol'e boot" became a perfect ornamental AND functional piece for the front office! Yes, I did get it back since HLSR is now over. I couldn't just give away my daughter's first pair of boots, right!!??
Last up is "Sweet Life".
This is my favorite project of all, because it incorporated some of my favorite pieces from the "Saturdays" collection. The denim die cut piece, the chipboard flags...and the Oh-so-Beautiful felt flowers. LOVE! Those of you who know me, know that I could design with this phenomenal collection without incorporating a layout with flowers and lace! This layout features my youngest daughter, Skye, who has never been able to pass by a flower bush without plucking one and giving it to me.
With the denim die cut being stitched already (LOVE that by the way!!) I decided to continue with the clean machine stitching along the border edge.
And, being the layering fanatic that I am, I have incorporated several layers to this layout utilizing stitches, paints, buttons, twine, chipboard, lace and flowers. l didn't want to detract from the natural beauty of the papers, so I decided against too much distressing. I love the way this layout came together...it is a perfect example of my style, clean with lots layers and detail.
Thank you all for visiting today! And Thank YOU LYB for giving me this amazing opportunity to cycle with you!
I certainly hope I have inspired you all and given you ideas on how to use the GORGEOUS Saturdays collection. It is so very versatile...and so very beautiful! I think my favorite piece is the stitched denim die cut...but I can't even guarantee that...since I ADORE it all!
Thank you Misty! We know you are a long time LYB fan and we are so appreciative of the time and thoughtfulness you put into your projects. Please visit Misty's blog Mommy of 5 Kidz for more inspiration from her.
Thank you for stopping by today!

We are very happy to bring you some inspiring Saturdays projects from Cycling Team Member Delaina Burns. We love how Delaina takes layers and clustering to new "heights." Be sure to look closely at all of her details.
I just have to say how much I loved playing with the Saturday Collection. From the colors, and design on the papers to the awesome embellishments. It's a must have for almost any photo. It's such a versatile line and so easy to scrap with.
I love to add layers and dimension to my pages and the parts and pieces included in the embellishment collection are perfect to achieve that. I used 3 photos here of my son...one is a 4X6 and 2 wallet size. I cut strips from the paper, cutting a V-shaped angle from the end of a couple of them.
I added a piece of cardboard from a shipping box to the back of the blue strip to add plenty of dimension. I then wrapped twine around a few times and tied a bow at the top before adhering it down onto the other strips.
As I adhere each strip, I used a sing trail of glue down the center, as to have room to tuck pieces and parts for extra interesting layers. I am a stickler for threading buttons, so I used the twine to thread the chipboard buttons before scattering them around the page.
I began this LO with a bunch of paper flowers that I fussy cut from the Pick-a-Posy paper.... I find fussy cutting relaxing. It adds a layer of dimension and beauty to any page.
The beautiful felt flowers were a perfect addition to the clusters created around the photo. I used one of the paper flowers as a trim near the bottom of the photo by folding it on the scored lines and adhering it to a strip of paper to hold it in place. The thick dimension was created by using small pieces of cardboard from a shipping box to level the pieces and adhered them on top of one another.
I added white cardstock to this page and stitched around with white floss.
At the top left, I added a few loopy stitches by simply hand sketching a few loops with a light pencil mark before piercing the holes for stitching.
I punched holes in the chipboard banner pieces and strung them with a long piece of red jute. The Red pattern paper piece was cut from one of the Decorative Edge Cardstock. I again used one of the paper flowers as a trim by folding it and adhering it to a strip of paper.
Thank you Delaina for sharing your wonderful talent with Little Yellow Bicycle and our fans! Please visit Delaina's blog Embellished Memories for more amazing projects from her.
We will be back later this week with a Biker Chick Project Inspiration post. Thank you for stopping by today!

We are so happy share a couple of projects from Cycling Team Member Pam Brown. Pam's carefree and simple style makes you crave Saturday all week long. Take a look at her fresh fun feel and how she was able to transform our Saturdays collection into a reality.
Pam added our Saturdays Felt and Burlap Flower Stickers to embellish the simple design of her page.
Wrinkly Toes
1. Use the Well-Worn Wood patterned paper as the base for your 12x12 layout. About 1 5/8" from the bottom of the layout, add a strip of the Blue Reverie patterned paper, measuring 1"x6", and make sure it is centered on the page...about 3 inches on either side.
2. Trim the lined white strip from the Pants and Patches patterned paper and type/write your journaling on there. Add that strip above the bottom strip, making sure the edges are lined up on the left side.
3. Add a 1"x6" strip of the Lose Yourself patterned paper on top of that, and a 1.25"x6" strip of the Reverie Garden patterned paper. Add your 4"x6" photo above that.
4. Add a 3/8"x6" strip of Rustic Red Linen patterned paper above your photo, and add the chipboard piece with the blue flowers above that, lining up the left side.
5. I added stitching across some of my strips of patterned paper, so if you want to do this, do it before you add the embellishments!
6. I added my title on the bottom strip of patterned paper. In the space to the right of the journaling, I added the blue felt flower, with one of the red pinked circles from the Paper Flower kit.
7. To the left of the paper strips, I added a flower from the Paper Flowers kit, layered over other flowers from the Paper Flowers kit, and topping it off with a piece from the Chipboard Shapes.
8. Finally, I added a flower made from 3 of the white/cream paper flowers from the Paper Flowers kit, a brown pinked circle from the Paper Flowers kit, a burlap leaf from the Felt Flowers package, and a chipboard button from the Chipboard Shapes with a piece of red jute string tied through.
Instructions for the card:
1. Create your 4"x5.5" card base from the Meet Me in the Meadow patterned paper. Trim from the corner of the paper, so you get the pretty floral design.
2. About 2.75" from the top of the card, add a strip of the brown Accordian flower (not folded) from the Paper Flowers kit. The strip should be trimmed to 4" wide.
3. Leaving about a 5/8" space from the top of the Accordian flowers trip, add a 3/8"x4" strip of the Pick-a-Posy patterned paper. Stitch across the top, if desired.
4. Cut 2 1.5"x.75" pieces of the Lose Yourself patterned paper and cut a little triangle out of the bottom to make a banner piece. Do the same thing with a 1.25"x.75" strip.
5. Starting from the left, add a longer banner piece, a shorter banner piece, the chipboard banner piece from the Chipboard Shapes kit, and a longer banner piece, then stitch across the top. Using your fingernail, lift up the bottom of the patterned paper banner pieces and add a foam dot underneath to add a little dimension.
6. At the top left corner of the chipboard banner piece, add a red felt flower from the Felt Flowers package, with an extra burlap leaf from the package underneath the flower.
7. Add the card front to a piece of folded white cardstock!
Thank you Pam for your wonderful projects and instructions. Please visit Pam's blog Happy to be Creating for more inspiration.
One step closer to the weekend - have a good one!

It would seem that we cannot get enough of Shellye McDaniel and we hope you feel the same way! Shellye rode with us on our Head of the Class and Hello Fall teams and now we have invited her back to take a spin with our Saturdays collection. But let's have Shellye tell you all about it...
"Enjoy" Mini Album
by Shellye McDaniel
Using the 6x6 Decorative Cardstock Pack, trim each sheet down to size (the top portion only). I like the staggered look, so I trimmed the first three pages and left the last (larger) two pages as-is.
Next, match the tops of the pages together and decide on the placement for your holes; punch holes. For each page I used a large circle template and traced onto patterned paper; trim to size (as shown on pages 2-4). For the last three pages you will need to extend your circle by creating straight edges; trim as to the desired length (as shown on pages 5-9).
Ink/distress around the perimeter of your circle and then machine stitch to create a border...DO NOT machine stitch directly onto the 6x6 Decorative Cardstock sheet, instead glue into place. Embellish each page with the beautiful accents from the Saturdays Collection and your own sweet photos :) Note: I used a 2" square punch for cropping all (but one) of my pictures down to size.
With Mother's Day coming up, this would make the perfect gift!

Ready for another sketch challenge? We can't rightly wrap up that last challenge without starting a new one. We mentioned that Little Yellow Bicycle had some exciting things in store for 2012 and one of the things we are committed to is some kind of challenge to keep our fans busy each month. We know a lot of people like to use sketches, but it would be awesome if you could tell us if there are other challenges you would like to participate in? Just leave us a quick comment with some ideas and we will start thinking about how to make it happen.
With many of our collections, we include Tear Out Ticket journaling cards, which is one of the focal elements on this sketch, but we also love to see how our fans use our paper flower kits. Each of our examples include some of those elements with a few special twists on Little Yellow Bicycle products.
I love how the Saturdays collection can easily be used for either gender, but I keep channeling masculine pages. I just love the pops of red in this collection and how it is grounded in blues and browns, which I think are perfect for stuff that guys like to do. This is my husband and our son hiking, and then a smaller picture of our campsite. I also happen to be enthralled with velvet embroidery floss, because the texture is so rich and soft. Please come check out my blog for more detailed photos of this page - My Little Sketch Blook.
But wait...look at how Cycling Team Member Robbie Herring interpreted the sketch with a very feminine page using our Saturdays collection. She combined both our paper flower kit with our felt flowers for a really beautiful and eye catching page! Love how Robbie dressed up her banners with a bit of baker's twine. Please visit her blog Just the Scrap for more details.
Cycling Team Member Kristine Berc really pushed the boundaries of the sketch using our Paradise collection. Instead of the stitched border, she incorporated a "homemade" die cut paper and then concentrated the paper flowers in one area on her layout. She also added one of the smaller Tear Out Tickets on her page. Please visit Kristine's blog A Stash of Pretty Paper for more details.
Cycling Team Member Heather Leopard also used our Paradise collection to make her version of the sketch. She incorporated a number of the Tear Out Tickets on her page and then used our paper flowers to make her own prize ribbon. What a clever idea! And then we'll ask you to hop on that Little Yellow Bicycle and pedal your heart out!
Hope to hear from you!

Happy Valentine's Day to all of our friends! Hope you are enjoying delicious dinners and lots and lots of chocolate...indulge for just one day! Today, we would love to share some really fantastic projects from Paradise Cycling Team member Guiseppa Gubler. She has done some amazing work with and we can't wait for you to see it. Let's have Guiseppa tell you all about it!
Breathe it in....Paradise - I am really digging the look of burlap, so I decided I wanted to try it out on this layout. First off, I layered pattered paper, cardstock and burlap. This gave the layout a outdoorsy, Caribbean feel to it. The burlap kind of reminds me of the bark on the palm trees. I wanted to bring back the feelings I felt while in the Caribbean when I looked at this layout. I then continued with the layering.
I used foam adhesive to give the pictures lift. I continued adding foam adhesive under my embellishments and then clustering them.
The title as well as the confetti garland were lifted up with the foam adhesive. I love fussy cutting, so I cut a little flower, leaf sprig, heart and leaf cluster and added them into the cluster of flower embellishments. Finally I added journaling strips. As you can see in the close up pictures, the foam adhesive gives dimension and life to the layout.
Easy Breezy Page - I love the design of this layout. It gives the eyes so much to look at. I love simplicity in a layout and then adding embellishments to make it pop. I believe I made this layout come to life by using a simple design and then added embellishments.
I first decided on my background paper. I then cut up the decorative edge die cut paper from the Paradise Collection and used it as a background to highlight my pictures. I placed this on two separate sides of the layout so that your eyes can gaze around the whole layout. Once again, I used foam adhesive to lift the decorative edge die cut paper and pictures.
I added a fun little pleat to the bottom of both of the decorative edge die cut papers and then a flag fabric embellishment on one and a border on the other (keep in mind that all of my embellishments and patterned papers are from the Paradise Collection). I added the title, flowers and some more fussy cutting and lifted those up using foam adhesive. Finally, I added the journaling strips. If you are wondering...I do go through huge amounts of foam adhesive.
Let's Get Lost Card
I have really grown to love cardmaking. In the past, I have refused to make cards because it was just one more thing I knew I would love doing and there isn't enough time to do all the things I love as it is. Well, as you can see...I have caved in. In fact, I have had more cards published than anything else, so I guess I have a knack for them...who knew! When I make cards, I love creating ones that are a little different.
So, I decided to make this card a pocket card. I picked my patterend paper and attached a back and a front together by sewing it. This is a good way to hold the pocket together, plus it looks good. I then added some flowers, chipboard, stickers and fabric stickers (all from the Paradise Collection) and arranged them on my card. Yep...you guessed it, I did use more foam adhesive to give the card a layered and lifted look. Lastly, I added some twine and made a bow around the flower.
I can't get enough of the Paradise Collection. I am going to have to order some more or see if my local scrapbooking store gets it in because it is perfect for my a lot of my summery, outdoorsy pictures and it is so easy to use. The papers and embellishments make my projects just pop with color and dimension. Thanks Little Yellow Bicycle for letting me use this fabulous collection!
Thank you Guiseppa for some really beautiful projects. You can visit Guiseppa's blog My Creations from more inspiration from her.
We have a special announcement to make on the blog tomorrow, so be sure to check back with us later in the day.
Take care and Happy Valentine's Day!

We are so pleased to share more projects with our Paradise Collection from Cycling Team Member Kristine Berc. She has done such a beautiful job of showcasing all of the beautiful embellishments that come with this collection. But, let's have Kristine tell you all about it...
I'm Kris Berc and I'm so thrilled to have this opportunity to share some Paradise projects with you today! It has been an incredible honor (and completely fun!) to design with this gorgeous collection of delightful blues, greens, and pinks.
I can't imagine a better collection than Paradise for this photo of my little girl. She was happily running around the yard with these big sticks in her hands just being her fun and happy self. The color combination is both outdoorsy and feminine... just perfect!
For the main embellishment cluster, I layered several Clear Cuts Shapes and Chipboard Shapes around a big dimensional flower, which, by the way, was incredibly quick and simple to make thanks to the Paper Flower Kit. Whoever came up with the idea for those flower kits is just brilliant! Can you see the beautiful texture and details that are included on both the clear and chipboard embellishments? I also added some drops of pearl-colored dimensional fabric paint here and there for some extra interest.
I could not resist adding this wonderful felt sticker. It comes layered and ready to stick! All I did was add a few of those fabric paint dots around the flower's petals.
There were so many Chipboard Shapes and Cardstock Stickers that were just screaming to be used with this photo. I couldn't decide which one to choose. I ended up using several :)
You may have noticed that I layered several different sheets of the Paradise patterned paper before I even adhered the photo. I couldn't help it... each of the papers is so pretty and I wanted to use them all! But it is also important to me that my supplies last as long as possible, so here is what I did to get the most out of the paper:
Before I adhere my paper layers onto one another, I first cut out the centers of the papers. The cuts don't have to be precise as they'll be covered up anyway :) So just go in there with your scissors and cut the centers away, making sure to leave enough of the edges intact. Now I can use each of those sheets of papers again for more projects!
See... who would have known that we had cut away the centers of the three bottom layers?
When I received Paradise I was completely excited for so many reasons, one of them being that the bright pinks included in it perfectly matched my daughter's new pink sweater. So we got dressed and headed outside for what I had hoped would be a pretty, girly photo shoot. Of course, she went straight for the dirt and started digging in it, as if to say, "Come on, Mommy, do you really think putting me in a pretty pink sweater that matches your scrapbook paper is going to prevent me from playing in the dirt?!" Well okay... she had a point, and it ended up being a blessing in disguise.
One of the Paradise Fabric Favorites stickers had to have been made for moments like these! It says "Discoveries", which you can see above along with some assembled flowers from the Paper Flower Kit (again, brilliant idea!) and a Chipboard Shape.
Apparently, the digging and sifting of the dirt wasn't enough for her, because before I could do anything about it she proceeded to put a large handful into her mouth. Why do kids feel the need to eat dirt? So there's the story of this layout. In any case, in this cluster I used one of the Paper Flowers, a Chipboard Flower, an adorable bird Felt Sticker, and some of the wonderful Cardstock Sticker alphas.
My third project is this sweet little "Hi" card that will hopefully brighten a loved one's day. The beautiful, colorful tree is one of the Chipboard Shapes, and the pretty bird is a Fabric Favorites sticker. The only thing I did to dress her up even more was to layer on that pretty pink Fabric Favorites heart sticker.
I adhered the "Hi" Cardstock Sticker alphas (did you know those are embossed?!) with foam tape for added dimension. Thanks to the beautifully detailed embellishments, this card came together in no time at all.
I hope you have enjoyed my Paradise projects! Thank you to the readers for visiting Little Yellow Bicycle today, and thank you to Little Yellow Bicycle for including me on the Cycling Team!
Thank you Kristine! We love your projects and even though you may not tell anyone, we think you bought that pink sweater for you daughter just to match our beautiful papers - Shhhhh - it's just between us! Please visit Kristine's blog Stash of Pretty Paper for more inspiration.
We will be back later this week with some Biker Chick inspiration and another post from our Guest Designer Izzy Anderson.
Take care!

We are so excited to share a few more projects with our Paradise Collection from Cycling Team Member Ginny Hughes. She has some simple ideas for putting that extra special something into a project. But let's have Ginny tell you all about it...
My first project is this card. I am not a big cardmaker, but as soon as I saw these flowers I knew that they would make a beautiful Happy Spring card! I love that you can mix and match and make whatever you want!
This was hands down my favorite piece of paper from the collection, I just love it! So I had to use my scraps to make a card and I love the felt embellishments. They add great dimension and are fun little accents!
Ginny clustered our beautiful felt stickers with glass beads to accent her card.
My oldest daughter doesn't like pink or anything girly, so I loved that I could use these papers for a page about her and her playful side. I love the Confetti Garland, hands down one of my favorite things!!!
I also used the tag for some journaling and tucked it behind the photo.
I love that you can take bits and pieces from the flowers and use what you want. I thought the pinwheels made for a very happy page! I also used the long strip of words and cut it up to make my title fit to my page.
For me, paradise doesn't just mean the warm weather and the beach. Paradise is right out my front door! I love the colors of this line and think they are very fitting for a woodsy/lake theme page. I made a starburst pattern out of the patterned paper and added confetti and stars to keep it bright and happy!
Thank you Ginny for so many wonderful ideas and projects. Please visit Ginny's blog 5 Little Chickens for more inspiration.
Have a great weekend!

We are so excited to introduce our newest Cycling Team Member Kay Rogers. Kay's clean and simple style gives our Paradise collection a fresh look. Here is what she had to say about Paradise, "I think Paradise was so versatile because I could accomplish outdoorsy, fun, subtle, and pretty all with one line! Thanks for the opportunity to be on the Cycling Team!"
For this layout of Jenna and her cousin, I wanted the soft blues and greens to make the picture shine. The blocks of patterned paper are a nice compliment to the photo and the simple, clear cut tag is a great journal spot.
The Clear Cut shapes, not only come with glitter accents, but they are also easy to write on and add a very different look than cardstock.
This page has one of my favorite pics of Jenna. I really wanted the layout to be more "pretty" and serene in nature to make her shine through. The plaid paper makes a great border and contrast to the black and white photo.
The Paradise garland embellishment is such a fun addition to a page or project. Just add some pop dots and the dimension shines through.
This layout with Jenna up on the pile of hay playing was inspired by the quote on the card. She was having such a little adventure that day, and I wanted to convey the fun with a more random feel to the placement of the elements on the page.
Kay also made this adorable project with our Paradise Medley Album.
I thought the papers were perfect for a series of photos I took with my photography club kids. We were outdoors and Jenna came with us on the trip. I snapped so many pictures that day so a mini album was perfect!
For directions, I just printed my pictures 2x3. I used the mini-album kit, and supplemented the pages with the shaped papers. I then laid out all of the LYB stickers and embellies and went to town!
Thank you Kay for so many inspirational projects with our newest collection. I am pretty sure that you can already find Paradise in your LSS, and if not, then I bet it is on the way. What better way to take a break from the cold snap of winter than to play with a little Paradise???
You can visit Kay's blog How Did I End Up Here for more beautiful work and inspiration from her.

Winter Storm Warning...it's a crisp and cold day on the blog with our Winter Twig collection. We are very pleased to share some amazing projects from Cycling Team member Andrea Friebus. Love the happy feel of her pages and the details in her work. But - let's have Andrea tell you all about it...
I’m Andrea Friebus and I’m so excited to be sharing some projects with you today that I made using the fabulous Winter Twig collection! The gorgeous cool blues and browns in this line were the perfect way to welcome winter this year.
It doesn’t snow here where I live in Southern California, so I was overjoyed to be able to scrap these photos of my son’s first visit to the snow. I had a blast making the snowflakes. I couldn’t decide which snowflake embellishments to use so I ended up using a bit of everything! (Chipboard Shapes, Clear Cut Shapes, Paper Snowflake Kit, Fabric Favorites, Snowflake Button Dots, and Cardstock Stickers.)
It’s also not very often that I get to use glitter on my little boy’s pages so I did not hesitate to cover the chipboard alphas with sparkly glitter! I definitely think I captured his fun first experience with snow!
Patterned papers: Winter Fresh Pom Pom, Winter Wishful, Ski Sweater
Clear Cuts Shapes
6x6 Decorative Edge Cardstock
Cardstock stickers: Favorite pieces, Fresh Verse
Paper Snowflake Kit
Fabric Favorites
Snowflake Button Dots
Chipboard: Alphas, Shapes
In my next layout, “Let It Snow” I really wanted to showcase my favorite photo from our trip to the snow. I used lots of papers and embellishments to frame the photo and even added some hand stitching.
For the title, I cut apart some Clear Cuts Shapes for the “Let It” and added it above the Chipboard Alphas. I substituted the “O” in Snow for a Snowflake Button Dot.
This snowman was the perfect chipboard embellishment to complement my photo but I wanted to add a little more to it. I removed some buttons from the Cardstock Stickers Labels and adhered them to the front of the snowman.
Patterned Paper: Brown Snowy Scratch, Winter Blue, Snowy Window, Winter Stripe
Snowflake Button Dots
Cardstock Stickers: Fresh Verse, Borders, Labels
Clear Cuts Shapes
Chipboard: Shapes, Alphas
Paper Snowflake Kit
6x6 Decorative Edge Cardstock
This layout came about as a happy accident! I was cutting apart the Cardstock Border Stickers banner, thinking I would use the triangles to create a tree for a card and decided it would look better bigger. I added more triangles made from scraps and a few photos and created this tree that was definitely too big for a card and instead became the focal point of this layout about my son dressed up as the angel Gabriel for his school Nativity performance. (On a side note, while my son was on stage and all was quiet before the beginning of a song, he said, “This is fun!” really loudly and the whole audience laughed—yeah…tell me it’s not ironic that he’s dressed as an angel.)
Some random circles from the Confetti Garland topped with jewels and popped up completed my tree.
Patterned Paper: Frosty Diamond Dust, Winter Wishful, Winter Stripe, Wood You Be Winter, Winter Plaid, Mocha Java Sweater, Winter Blue
Confetti Garland
6x6 Decorative Edge Cardstock
Fabric Favorites
Paper Snowflake Kit
Snowflake Button Dots
Medley Album Kit
Cardstock Stickers: Labels, Borders
My final project is some fancy wrapping for a special gift. Instead of ribbon, I used Cardstock Border Stickers and patterned paper cut into strips, layered with the Confetti Garland. Rather than using a bow for a present topper, I used a chipboard snowflake, layered with a Journaling Card, photo, Clear Cuts Shapes, more Chipboard Shapes, and part of a Snowflake Button Dot.
The photo makes this gift unique and personal and the best part is by simply punching a hole near the top of the cardstock snowflake and adding some string, your recipient now has a special handcrafted ornament to hang on their Christmas tree!
Patterned Paper: Ski Sweater
Chipboard Shapes
Confetti Garland
6x6 Decorative Cardstock
Clear Cuts Shapes
Journaling Cards
Snowflake Button Dots
Cardstock Stickers: Borders
I hope you enjoyed my projects! I had so much fun making them—thanks Little Yellow Bicycle!
Thank you Andrea for the happy accidents and wonderful projects to share on our blog. Please visit Andrea's blog Lights C.A.M.ERA Action for more fun and inspiration from Andrea!
We still have one more Cycling Team Member to share on Christmas Eve and a whole lot more to cram in this month...so stay tuned!

We have another stellar day on the blog with the latest creations from Cycling Team member Katrina Hunt. She has some super nifty crafting ideas with Winter Twig to put in your back pocket... but let's have Katrina tell you all about them!
Katrina Hunt here and I am SO excited to be part of the Winter Twig Cycling Team. This is such a dream come true for me! I have LOTS to share with you today, including some instructions for making a couple of the projects that I did!
Looking for a fun banner that you can hang all year? Well, look no further, because the Winter Twig collection is perfect for making that winter banner to hang all season long! I also have a PDF that you can download with instructions and supplies to create the banner if you like.
Download K_HuntWinter Twig BannerInstructions
Here are some close up images of each piece of the banner, to make it easier to recreate.
The tree on this piece comes from an add-on sketch over at Sketch Support.
Here is a close up of that Medley Album envelope that I sized down.
And here is a close up of the medallions that I put between each banner piece on the ribbon.
My complete supply list is located on the PDF for the banner, including additional items I used to complete the project.
Next up, I found an adorable snowman project on Archiver’s website. I thought he would be cute with the papers from Winter Twig, so I got started on him! He is a little blue, but he is fun for something other than white! Here is the link for his instructions: SNOWMAN
As soon as I decided on doing him and saw he had a pipe, I knew the Clear Cut swirl shape would be the perfect thing for smoke out of the pipe!
And just a shot from above, so you can see his hat!

Additional Supplies: Brown, Orange, White cardstock, Scor-Tape, Buttons, Hot glue, Fabri-tac, Ribbon, Cardboard circle, Angel Cloud fibers.
Then, I have had this picture since last Christmas (last Christmas, I gave you my heart…sorry, Christmas songs on the radio!) and had not found the perfect paper to do a layout with it. Along comes Winter Twig!
I hid the journaling tag, but attached it with twine, so that it could be pulled out from the back of the picture. I also used some of the Cardstock Stickers for that snowflake and just bent the edges of the top layer.
I didn’t want all my letters to be the same color. I had thought about painting some of them white. Then as I was sanding them down to paint, I liked the way they looked, so I decided to leave them just as they were.

Hello, there! My name is Laura Evangeline, and I'm so very excited to be playing with the Winter Twig collection today. This collection has some of the most fun and cute embellishments I've ever seen. I absolutely love the blue, white, and brown color combination with a hint of green thrown in. This makes for a collection that can be used for many other occasions. I love that about this type of line. It's so versatile. The patterned papers are all great basics to hold on to in your supply. Here are just a few of my ultra favorite things...
TIP: The sentiment sticker that I chose to use for this card was originally much too long for the balance I needed to complete my project. Don't forget that paper isn't the only thing you can trim and punch! Try your hand at adding fun borders and even punched shapes to the elements on your next project.
How about... PURPLE!?
TIP: Don't be afraid to alter or even embellish your embellishments like I did with the chipboard ice skates. I like to buy simple embellishments because they're more versatile. You can keep them as they are or take them up a notch too. Adding to beautifully simple embellishments can really make your project extra special and unique.
We're counting down to the holidays and today we have two fantastic Wonder & Wishes projects from Cycling Team Member Robbie Herring. Robbie brings some real Christmas cheer with these two festive pages and we can't wait for you to see them.
It's such a great effect how Robbie mirrored the dot paper with the smaller dot pattern on our Decorative Edge Cardstock, and then layered in some of the patterned sheets from our Medley Album.
Aren't these felt poinsettias gorgeous? They add such a beautiful texture to a project and paired with the Clear Cuts makes a wonderful cluster for the corner of this photo.
Robbie really did a great job of clustering Fabric Favorites, Button Dots and the Paper Flower Kit together. Love how each element is unique, but perfectly coordinates together.
Our Wonder & Wishes Stick Pins, Pom Poms and Twine are the perfect finish for ribbon.
Patterned Paper: Christmas Text, Simple Stripe, Tiny Tonal Poinsettia, Ornaments All Over, Green Geometric
For more inspiration from Robbie, please her blog Just the Scrap.
Our Wednesday Winner is Ange! Please email your information to peg@cthruruler.com and we will get a prize pack of Wonder & Wishes out to you shortly.
Thank you for stopping by today -

On Monday, the Biker Chicks "unleashed" our brand new Winter Twig collection with some frosty ideas! Today on the blog the snowflakes are falling with Cycling Team Member Mary Ann Jenkins. She has some wonderful projects to share with her take on Winter Twig, but let's have Mary Ann tell you all about it.
Hello!! I’m Mary Ann Jenkins from sunny Southern California. I am so excited to be part of the Winter Twig Cycling Team, and I know you are going to fall in love with all the beautiful papers and embellishments just like I did!
I love the blues, browns and greens in the Winter Twig collection, but for my “First Snow” layout I added in a little bit of pink. After having three boys first, then a little girl, I find myself using lots of pink on layouts for her.
I added a few splatters of white paint, and some machine stitching to the cardstock, and also added paint and stickles to the chipboard letters. My favorite part about this layout is the cute 3-D snowflake made with the paper snowflake kit. The paper is already scored for you, so with a little folding, instant 3-D snowflake!
The “Winter Memories” layout with an old black and white photo looks like it took a lot of time to make, but it was actually really quick to put together.
I started with the confetti garland, which is already sewn for you! I cut it into various lengths, and then added a snowflake to the end of each strand along with a rhinestone. Add a date sticker and a chipboard word and it’s finished!
Winter Twig is definitely for Winter with the cute little snowmen, mittens and snowflakes, but my “Remember” layout is actually a Summer photo, taken on a 90 plus degree day.
I made sure to not have any snowflakes peaking out, and sanded the chipboard pinecone just a bit to take a little of the glitter off so it looks more like a Summer pinecone .
I used various papers from the collection along with a few cardstock stickers that I cut one end to look like a flag. I hand stitched around the outside edge of the layout with green embroidery floss. After I finished stitching, I tossed a left over piece of floss onto my scrapbook table. See where it landed? I loved the extra bit of color it added, so I glued it down and put the chipboard pinecone on top. My own little embellishment ;)
My last project is something I’ve been thinking about making for awhile, and Winter Twig was just perfect for a “Winter Fun Ideas Frame! As our family thinks of things they would like to do this Winter, we write them with a sharpie pen or dry erase marker right on the glass. As ideas are completed, just erase and add a new one! I started with an old frame, and gave it a quick coat of paint. Any size frame would work; you would just need to adjust the size papers you use. Using my computer I printed lines on a piece of cardstock. (You could also draw the lines by hand)
Since my frame is 6”X18”, I added pieces of patterned paper to the bottom, and the top to fill the frame. I added the cute little chipboard guy and word, and a few snowflakes, all under the glass so the marker is easy to clean off. I’ve already thought of a few things I want to do this Winter!
I’ve had so much fun playing with Winter Twig, and want to thank everyone at Little Yellow Bicycle for having me as part of the cycling team.

We are very excited to share more Wonder & Wishes projects with Cycling Team Member Audrey Yeager. Audrey has some wonderful page and card ideas along with some special gift warpping tips (great idea for our canvas tape and mini pom poms). But, let's have Audrey tell you all about it...
Hello! My name is Audrey Yeager and I am THRILLED to be sharing some projects with you from the Wonder & Wishes line! When I received all the wonderful goodies that go along with this collection, I kept asking myself, “OK, do I want to do a photo of the tree? Stockings? The kids with Santa? Our Christmas Villiage?” Truth is, this line is so versatile that you can scrap any holiday tradition with it.
My dad just visited recently and brought along some old family photos (by request, of course), so I decided to use some of the old Christmas ones that he had.
Another old photo for my 2nd page, too. Not quite sure about the date but probably around 1950. I splattered some white paint on the kraft paper and added some machine stitching here and there.
The bright green corrugated cardboard elements add such great contrast against the deep red. Here is a quick and simple card.
The Stockings Were Hung Cardstock: Bazzill Patterned Papers: Home For Christmas, Little Red Hot Dot Chipboard Shapes Corrugated Alphas Twine Spools Cardstock Stickers
Merry Christmas Card Confetti Garland Clear Stickers Cardstock: Bazzill
Joy Card Patterned Paper-Red Flourish Corrugated Shapes Paper Flower Kit
Gift Box Mini Pom-Poms & Twine Canvas Tape
Thank you Audrey for sharing your wonderful creations with Little Yellow Bicycle and all of our readers. I know I have some ideas for how to make my badly wrapped packages just a little bit nicer.
Please visit Audrey's blog Audrey's Creations for more of her inspiring projects.
We will be back later this week with another project from Guest Designer Cindy Tobey and a NEW collection release with projects from the Biker Chicks AND a special announcement - stay tuned!
Have a wonderful day!

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of snow? Because it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Colorado. Did you all catch Biker Chick Tania Willis's Training Reel yesterday? She has a great technique for adding "snow" to a project, just in case you don't have any at your house yet...
Today we have some fantastic Wonder & Wishes projects from Cycling Team Member Renee Zwirek. She has created a wonderful layout and an adorable little mini album. I also think she has some really great techniques to share, but let's have Renee tell you all about it.
"I’m so thrilled to be a part of the Wonder and Wishes Cycling Team. This collection is just perfect for me and it’s not just because my favorite color is red. This collection has lots of great pieces that make scrapping quick and easy. I have two special projects to share with you today; both displaying photos from my favorite day of the year."
The day after Thanksgiving is such a special and exciting day in our house. It’s the day we pick our fresh Christmas tree. I have so many photos from our day at the tree farm and I usually scrap single page layouts. So, how do I get my favorite photos onto one page? Well, I took one look at the Medley Album Kit and saw the pretty green pocket with the matching insert I could use. I love that there are no rules in scrapbooking. I can be as creative as I want with any products that I choose. This pocket was exactly what I needed. I used the decorative insert for my journaling, stuffed all my wallet-sized photos into it, and put my favorite photo of the day as a 4 x 6 on the front of it. My girls love this interactive page.
I normally enjoy all the details and work that I put into my projects. Okay, I love it! Sometimes, I want to work quickly and the Paper Flower Kit is definitely a time saver. I love all the possible layering for the flowers. The pinwheels are already scored which makes it so quick and easy to put them together. I decorated the Chipboard Mini Frames Photo Ornaments with the pinwheels for the tree on my page.
Supplies I used to make my “Our Tradition” Layout:
Little Yellow Bicycle Wonder and Wishes Collection
Patterned Papers: (WO-104) Dots on Green and (WO-105) Tiny Tonal Poinsettia
Embellishments: (WO-135) Cardstock Stickers Favorite Pieces, (WO-168) Chipboard Spinner Sticker, (WO-190) Clear Stickers Cardmaking, (WO-197) Jewel Stickers, (WO-219) Flower Button Dots Layered, (WO-221) Chipboard Mini Frames Photo Ornaments, (WO-222) Canvas Tape Rolls, (WO-275) Corrugated Alphas, (WO-302) Mini Pom Poms and Twine Spools, (WO-305) Paper Flower Kit, (WO-306) Medley Album Kit, (WO-309) Confetti Garland, and (WO-310) Countdown to Christmas Page Kit
Others: scissors, date stamper, black ink pad, Pine Needles Deep Edge Punch by Martha Stewart Crafts, Spotlight Scrapbook Colors by Making Memories, Tiny Attacher by Tim Holtz, Glubers by Cosmo Cricket, Mini and Memory Book Glue Dots, Circle Foam Tabs by American Crafts, Zig 2-Way Glue Pen, computer font “TimelessTLig”, white thread, and sewing machine
I wanted to add a special page to my December Daily 2011 mini album about our Christmas tree. I took my four favorite wallet-sized photos of the day and created a page that is fun, interactive, and not too bulky for the mini album. I love the Chipboard Frame and the Patterned Papers on the front of the page. I particularly love the Canvas Tape Rolls. It was so easy to work with because it’s self-adhesive. If I make a mistake I can peel it and correct it easily. I chose the striped pattern, folded it together, and attached it to the page. On the back of the page, I added the tree branch to match my layout. Please visit my blog: http://reneezwirek.wordpress.com/ for more photos of these projects and for future projects I make with the wonderful Wonder and Wishes Collection.
Supplies I used to make my "Christmas Tree" December Daily Page:
Little Yellow Bicycle Wonder and Wishes Collection

Embellishments: (WO-135) Cardstock Stickers Favorite Pieces, (WO-197) Jewel Stickers, (WO-222) Canvas Tape Rolls, (WO-230) Clear Cuts Shapes with glitter accents, (WO-276) Corrugated Shapes, (WO-279) Chipboard Shapes, (WO-302) Mini Pom Poms and Twine Spools, and (WO-310) Countdown to Christmas Page Kit

Thank you Renee for so many wonderful ideas and details to add to a project. I don't know about anyone else, but I am going to break out my Medley Album and pull out a pocket and create some tree branches with my punches! All inspriation I am taking away from today's post!
Please visit Renee's blog Pretty Plz for more ideas and inspiration.
Stay tuned for tomorrow! The Biker Chicks are back with some early CHA sneaks and a special announcement...tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow.

It's another beautiful day on the blog and we have brand new Wonder & Wishes projects to share from Cycling Team member Marcia Dehn-Nix. We are so excited about her layout, gift card holders and card, but let's have Marcia tell you all about them...
"It is so exciting to be a part of the Wonder & Wishes Cycling Team. Little Yellow Bicycle asked me to make one item, but I am sorry, I could not stop at one. I have three projects to share with you today."
When I was looking through some older Christmas photos of my kids that I had not yet scrapbooked, I came across this photo of my kids on Christmas morning. The plaid in the girls’ skirts and in the stocking hanging above them from the fireplace mantle was similar to the plaid paper in the Wonder & Wishes collection. It was as if it was destined when I saw 3 chipboard stockings. The Wonder & Wishes collection has so many fabulous embellishments to choose from. The hard part is deciding which ones to use as I loved so many!
Supplies Used December 25 Layout:
Little Yellow Bicycle Wonder & Wishes collection; Christmas Plaid paper, Joy and Peace paper, Christmas Text paper, Home For Christmas paper, 6x6 Decorative Edge Paper Pack, Canvas Tape Rolls, Clear Cuts Shapes, Chipboard Shapes, Confetti Garland, Words Cardstock Stickers, Paper Flower Kit, Flower Button Dots, Favorite Pieces Cardstock Stickers, stick pins
Other: Antique Linen Distress Ink, silver thread, adhesive
It seems that I am giving more gift cards as gifts this year as my nieces and nephews and my own kids are getting older. Then there are gift cards I purchase for teachers, close friends and family. My starving college student daughters are getting gift cards for groceries and gas. Now, I know that some people think that a gift card is the easy way out. We should shop for hours to find the perfect gift for that someone special. I don’t know about you, but I love getting a gift card! I can go shopping again!! These gift card holders are a fun, decorative way to present your gift. I made 2 gift card holders. One tailored for trendy teens, and the other more elegant for a teacher. Detailed instructions on how to make these are located on my blog; http://onescrapatatime-bymumsie.blogspot.com/
Little Yellow Bicycle Wonder & Wishes collection; Christmas Village paper, Brown and Dots paper, Green paper from the10x5.25 Decorative Edge Paper Pad, Corrugated Alphas, Clear Cuts Shapes, Fresh Verse Cardstock Stickers, Favorite Pieces Cardstock Stickers, Chipboard Shapes, Journaling cards

Please come back tomorrow to welcome our Wonder & Wishes Guest Designer who shall remain nameless until Peg tells you all about her...tomorrow.
Have a wonderful 1st day of December!

We are so pleased to introduce Robbie Herring, the wearer if the "yellow jersey" today. Robbie has some wonderful projects to share with our Hello Fall! collection. Along with the two layouts she created, she also has a great idea for altering a canvas as a home decor item. You can make one just like Robbie's with our Hello Fall! collection, or you could try the same idea with our Wonder & Wishes or Winter Twig collections.
Here's Robbie...
This collection couldn't have been any more perfect for some pumpkin patch pictures that I had. The colors were just perfect. Using the fabric banner sticker for the title was a natural choice for this precious picture. I really loved the dimension of it and, of course, it's so pretty!
The embellishing in the lower left corner includes a LOT of the fabulous embellishments included in this collection. The different textures of the embellishments are so great for clustering. Little Yellow Bicycle rocks the embellishments every time! There are paper, fabric, shiny and even clear pieces all together in the cluster. I like to use foam dots to vary the height of my embellishments when I'm clustering embellishments. I find that clustering is easiest if I start by placing my large pieces and then start to tuck smaller pieces in and then add those tiny extras, like jewels, to complete the look.
I added some stitching around the die cut shape to help draw the eye to the title and for extra detail.
A border piece from the die cut shapes, a fabric piece and paper flowers complete the top section of the design. More detailing was added to the flower by using foam dots in the center. I used a flower punch for the blue center and finsihed it off with a jewel.
More pictures from the pumpkin patch! Choosing the backsides of the papers allowed the pictures to take center stage. With their beautiful prints, the backsides worked perfectly for this page. I again chose to use one of the embellishments for the title. This time, it was from the corrugated shapes.
The journaling cards are just the right size for double duty to incorporate into the actual design of this page and to tell more of the story. I love little details and dimension on my pages, so I added stitched lines around parts of the design. I also added foam dots to my flowers to add dimension and to make layering easy. Of course, if you know me, you know that my pages seldom appear without a touch of ribbon somewhere. I added the leaf stickpins to the bow.
Foam dots were also added to one of the chipboard pumpkins so I could overlap it with the other pumpkin. Little bows of matching floss, a touch of twine and a cardstock leaf were the final embellishing touches.
Products Used: Hello Fall!
Patterned Paper: Green Splendor, Red Splendor, Walnut Knit, Bundle Up Blue, Burnt Orange Knit, Chipboard Shapes, Fabric Favorites, Journaling Cards, Cardstock Die Cuts- Fresh Verse, Corrugated Shapes, Stick Pins, Paper Flower Kit. Other: Orange Gingham Ribbon, Brown DMC Floss, Twine
I made this little canvas to set out at Thanksgiving. You could easily change it up for any holiday because there are so many words included in the embellishments with this collection. Another idea would be playing up all of the reds in this collection to use it for Christmas Time. Just take a look at the collection. There is red paper, red clear cuts, a red apple, red flowers... you get the idea! Try mixing them with all of the lovely greens, too.
I started out by putting everything together on just the paper. Different heights, adding buttons and stitching detail make this more than just a flat piece. The chipboard word pieces add their own dimension all on their own. I like the idea of mixing some cardstock leaves with the felt leaves for more texture.
And my most favorite embellishment pack from the Hello Fall lcollection? ...the paper flower kit! The flowers are already cut, all you have to do is fold, then mix and match the pieces together to create an amazing display of flowers!
Something else I really appreciate about the collection are the clear cut shapes with glitter accents, like the orange flourish I used on this page as well as corrugated shapes and lots of die cuts and labels!
There are also chipboard shapes with glitter accents and canvas border stickers which I used to alter a plain white frame! I added in our names on little leafs to make a family tree!
Thank you Jamie for another blissful day on the blog! Your projects make me want to jump in a pile of leaves - too bad it is already snowing here in Colorado... Please visit Jamie's Blog Bits of Paper for more inspiration from this very talented designer.
Hope you are ready for the big day tomorrow with pies baked and turkey thawed!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Here at Little Yellow Bicycle we cannot brag enough about our amazing Cycling Team! Each day we post something from these talented designers is another day of inspiring bliss and today is no exception. We are very pleased to share more Hello Fall! projects with Amy Peterman wearing the "yellow jersey." She's sharing a mini ablum, double page layout and a card, but let's have Amy tell you all about it...
"Hello Little Yellow Bicycle fans! I am pretty geeked to be sharing with you today. I’ve always loved LYB, so when I was asked to participate on the Cycling Team, I was thrilled ... And when my box of Hello Fall! product arrived, you can believe I did a little happy dance. I’ve always been draw to an autumnal palette and yummy textures, so this collection is right up my alley."
I created my own envelopes inside my album with various Hello Fall! patterned papers (I used a printable envelope template from this site to create them - http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2008/07/5-12-inch-square-envelope-template-lots.html).
I had each of my family members write down what they are thankful for on pages pulled from the Say What? Gratitude Journal Tablet. Each family members’ list gets tucked into their own little envelope.
I have this album hanging in our front entryway. I love that it not only serves to hold precious photos and memories, but it also is a fall décor piece.
For this mini album, I used one of the Little Yellow Bicycle Chipboard Albums (LYB101), lots of Hello Fall! goodness and the Say What? Gratitude Journal Tablet.
Fall Fun
What better way to say hello to fall than a joyous frolic in the fallen leaves? To play off that theme, I repeated leaf elements in this design. First, I just had to use that beautiful patterned paper with the tree on it. I accented a few leaves by hand-cutting around them and overlapping my photos with them. I also added a couple of the leaves from the Corrugated Shapes pack and adhered them with foam adhesive. I then hand-cut a few more leaves on the left side of my layout and stitched around them for definition.
Oh Happy Day Card
Amidst all of the creating with this awesome collection, I just had to throw in a card. I used the Fabric Favorites (owl and banner) and some Canvas Tape (aren’t those owls adorable?). I love how the combination of these products made creating a card and snap!
Thank you Little Yellow Bicycle! I loved sharing today!
Amy
Thank you Amy! We are very appreciative of your beautiful work. Please visit Amy Peterman's blog for more inspiration and be sure to check back for more from the amazing Cycling Team and of course our talented Biker Chicks!
