We don't think we could have come up with a better palette of red, white and blue that is great for celebrating summer and the many occasions that come up. Greta's design captures her family moment, while adding some of the softer papers from the collection.
We had to include our signature 5 Things Pocket all decked out in red, white and blue, but check out the gorgeous pattern on the pocket.

You didn't think for a moment that we would not celebrate our nation's birthday. Vintage Summer can be used for everyday moments and fun 4th of July photos like the ones in Greta's layout.

Now that you have a taste of all of our AMAZING spring and summer collections, we are going to need a few cycling team members to showcase our products. We took the liberty of inviting back a few of our favorite Cycling Team Members from 2012 to get us started with our Just Because collection (shipping soon). So please welcome back these tremendously talented designers.
But WAIT.. we need Cycling Team Members for our super cute Fern and Forest Girl and Boy collections, So starting now, we will be accepting applications for those two teams...
With each new collection we like to invite a few new designers (about 3-5 per collection) to come design for us. We ask Cycling Team members to commit to a month of designing after the collection is released. In return, we'll send you some free product and shamelessly promote you along with ourselves on our blog and facebook page. Read the details below:
1) Make at least one project with what we send you - a layout, some cards, a mini album, an altered item...whatever makes you happy!
2) Send us some pictures of it, and a little write-up or how-to of how you created it.
3) Post it on your blog, facebook page and any online galleries you belong to. We'll put it here on our blog too, of course!
That's it!
If you are interested, please send us three (3) samples of your best work (preferably with LYB products because that is what we like to look at most, however it's not a deal breaker if you send something else) to designteams@mylyb.com. Also, if you have previously designed for a Cycling Team, please feel free to apply again! Please send us your application by Wednesday, January 23rd and we'll announce the NEW Fern and Forest Cycling Teams on Monday, January 28th. Please also include your contact information (address, phone and blog) in your email.
And then we'll ask you to hop on that Little Yellow Bicycle and pedal your heart out!

My favorite activity in the summer is going to the pool! The kids are having a great time and I am catching up with mom friends, when I am not playing with the kids! Great memories!

Summer is my favorite time of the year. Love the sun on my skin, eating outside and sitting on the terras till late in the evening. The kids have fun on fishing and swimming.

My favorite summer activity is playing with my kids outside. They are getting bigger now so i have big plans to let them join me in the garden this year (another favorite) and I can only imagine the pics I'll get!

I love going to the beach, listening to the waves crash and soaking in the warm sunshine. When that's not possible (I have 5 little ones), I really enjoy just taking a drive and smelling the fresh air. It's the little things :)

I am in love with that Vintage Summer collection, LOVE the red/white/blue. As for summer activities, I so love the longer hours of daylight. We try to hit the beach a few times but living on the coast, we really don't have to wait for summer for that.

Lazy summer days, children off school, so late to bed and late to rise, having time to chill and relax with them, whether at the park, the beach or around home. Walking bare footed, enjoying ice creams that melt quickly, capturing the fun times ready to scrap later. Eating late off the BBQ and enjoying salads and summer fruits.

Summer, I just love to be home, outside watching the kids in the pool and smelling the flowers in the garden from the shade of the porch!! We do love family trips to the lake or the beach...I just love the pace of summer!

We can't wait to walk the trails and take tons of pictures of all our 6 kids playing on the rocks, running etc. We usually pack a lunch and let them play in the water. On the way home we grab an ice cream.

We like to go camping and boating in the summer!! We usually spend Sundays out at the lake with my whole family and it is a tradition that has been going on since my dad was a kid!! I have a two-year-old who was born extremely premature. Because of his lung disease, we go into "hibernation" from November through April/May to keep him safe from flu and RSV infections. So, what am I looking forward to for summertime? Just being able to go outside with Jacob, play, go to the park, swim at the pool, and enjoy watching him explore!

I love "happenstance" gatherings with my siblings and spouses. We start with coffee at Starbucks ( our Friday morning usual get-together), then we go off and run errands and meet back at my older sister's house for lunch...hours later after sitting around talking, listening to oldies but goodies/dancing ( trying to remember old dances) we decide to order Chinese food for dinner, after which we play games !! So much fun!!!
