We are wrapping up another exciting week on the blog with some wonderful inspiration and a surprising desgin call, so it is our pleasure to close out the week with another Saturdays project from our amazing Guest Designer Corrie Jones. We have a few more questions for Miss Corrie and here is what she had to say...
LYB: Do you have a favorite adhesive?
CJ: I like to use Beacon’s 3-in-1 glue and American Crafts permanent adhesive dots.
LYB: Do you scrap chronologically or out of order?
CJ: I scrap out of order. I just scrap whatever picture speaks to me at that moment.
LYB: Do you have a favorite quote?
CJ: “Creative people are seldom tidy.” I do not know who should be credited with saying it, but I have it hanging in my scrapbook room on a card.
Hey everyone! It's Corrie here and I am back with another project using the Saturday's Collection. I told Liz this already, but wanted to share how much I love this collection! It is refreshing to work with these colors and patterns. But on to the project.
I got the idea for this project after blog hopping one afternoon. I read a blog post by an awesome photographer where she was on to simply say that she would be gone for awhile because her hubby was on his way home from Afghanistan after being away for months. My heart swelled for this woman and her family and this soldier and the fact that they were all going to be together again. How awesome! Anyway, I knew then I was going to make a banner with this collection and a "Welcome Home" banner was perfect.
Here are some super closeups.
I do not know this family, but that doesn't matter. But in the off chance that they see this and know I am talking about them, I want to say WELCOME HOME and THANK YOU for your service and everything you do, all of you!
To create this banner, I used the following from the Saturday's Collection: All the papers, chipboard shapes, stick pins, clear cut shapes, paper flower kit, both cardstock sticker sets, fabric favorites, dimensional stickers, tear out tickets and the 5-thing envelopes. In addition, I used garden twine and my Silhouette to cut out the banner shapes.
I hope you enjoyed this banner! And I really hope you are enjoying the Saturday's Collection as much as I am!
THANK YOU Corrie for another amazing project! The level of detail in your banner is admirable and we are so pleased that you used our Saturdays collection for something so special.

Looks like it's a weekend and I wonder if there are some folks out there who are getting some submissions ready...
Have a lovely one!
