I just adored this little project the moment I saw it...  sent to us from our talented friend and LYB fan Mari Aartun from Norway.  I met her there last year when I was invited to teach at an event  (by the most amazing hostess ever, MayLis).... what a wonderful bunch of creative and kind ladies, and instant friends! Anyway...  Mari created this darling little "bee-house" with our brand new SnuggleBug collection. It makes me smile!  Here's another little goodie from Mari~

We're so pleased to announce our new arrival~ another sweet baby collection! Just in time for Spring, and all things fresh and sweet, SnuggleBug has just made it's appearance! You can get a peek at the cuteness at your LSS!

As you can see, this collection is not just for babies... it works perfectly for toddlers as well, like Iris' beautiful little Cheska. (oh my goodness, those eyes! those cheeks! that hair!)  I love how Iris made ribbon-strips from the patterned paper... so fresh!

Here's a wonderful example of how sweetly a baby is showcased, from Biker Chick Tania Willis~

...sigh... that smile just melts me... Beautiful work, Tania! (and the project's great, too!!)

And here's an amazing project from Biker Chick Greta Hammond.  She's outdone herself again~

Adorable!!  Who wouldn't want that in their nursery??

........................I have had so much fun designing our past baby collections, it's just a special theme for me! Probably because I adored having my own babies and love to re-live those precious memories... But I have just always loved anything BABY for as long as I can remember. Nothing sweeter. Nothing.

... Anyway, this collection was especially fun for me, just because I had a ball doing the art for the little critters. See, I got to thinking.... if butterflies and dragonflies and bees are so popular, why not make them irresistible for a baby collection?? So, I did!  And just for fun, I thought I'd share the original sketches of these little baby bugs... {I just love to draw!}

So, through the magic of computers and creativity (and a ton of collaborative effort)... THIS:

Baby bugs

(so that's where baby collections come from!!) *smile*

I'll be sharing many more adorable and inspiring goodies in the days to come, all featuring SnuggleBug.
Whether you've got little babies of your own, or grandbabies, or just need the perfect baby gift, you're sure to find what you're looking for in this collection!  It's cute as a bug!

Be sure to check back often, because I'll be doing a SnuggleBug GIVEAWAY!  Be prepared to share some sweet baby stories!!  Be prepared to smile!

Happy, Lovely Spring~

Sharon

P.S. Oops! I just realized that all of the featured projects were GIRL, so here's a quick BOY goodie for you!! A cute little card from Biker Chick Jen Gallacher. So Sweet!

Wow, what a wonderful bunch of comments you all left... all 506 of you!  What a fun time I had reading them! It really reminded me of why I'm so glad to be a part of this industry...  Supporting this amazing craft of creatively preserving our stories, our loves, our precious memories, infusing everything we do with our own special touch. It feels good to be a part of that~ I always say that some hobbies will result in things that will inevitably end up in the yard-sale, but these priceless keepsakes will be cherished by our families forever...  Talk about gifts!

Like so many of you, I was introduced to scrapbooking (in the formal sense) through attending a home party... Actually, it was Lori (the other lead designer here at LYB) who was the consultant teaching that night~ it was there that I got my first taste of this addictive hobby... To me, it was the perfect way to showcase all of the (bazillion) photos I had taken of my kiddos, while affording myself an artistic outlet, and it was a "legitimate" expense ("It's an heirloom!").  I had always loved lettering, so I was able to incorporate that into my pages, personalizing them even more.

{I was smitten.}

One thing lead to another, and today I find myself designing product for you all, which I thoroughly enjoy!  I can't tell you how thrilled I am to see it all come full-circle, from the creativity and passion that goes into the creation of a collection, through to the creation of your special projects... Beginning with the inspiration that sparks a new collection, to the actual work at the "drawing-board", to the production, marketing, and selling, and finally to the end result, to talking to some of you, and hearing how appreciated and special the product was for some very important event or album that you'd created (or even to hear that the papers just made you happy!), and in some cases to even get to see those beautiful projects... It's the best!  I love seeing what you do!

So.... time to announce those lucky winners!  It was no easy task picking just four!

Here they are, in no particular order:

**MEAGAN** said:

I just started scrapbooking this January. My Mom got into doing some papercrafting and cardmaking last summer. She invited my sister, sister-in-law, and I over one evening to teach us how to make a mini album (which she learned from reading some blogs). I was hooked from that point on!

WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF SCRAPBOOKING, MEAGAN!! YOU WERE THE NEWEST OF OUR ENTRANTS, AND WE WANT YOU TO GET OFF TO A GOOD START!! (GOOD JOB, MOM, FOR GETTING THOSE GIRLS INVOLVED!)

**MARGARET** said:

My parents gave my sister and I scrapbook albums for Christmas in 1963. I'm happy to see how this craft has evolved. Hope everyone has a wonderful NSD to record and cherish those precious memories!!!!

MARGARET, YOU WERE OUR MOST "EXPERIENCED" ENTRANT! :)  YOU KNOW A GOOD THING WHEN YOU SEE IT, RIGHT? GOOD JOB FOR STICKING WITH THE HOBBY! HOPE THIS FUN, NEW PRODUCT IS INSPIRING TO YOU!!

**DEB IN WEST VIRGINIA" said:

Love, Love LYB!!! I got my start when I was dragged kicking and screaming to a CM class. I was so excited after that class I couldn't sleep! 14 years later and a few  $$ (wink, wink), I still have trouble sleeping when I'm in the midst of a great scrap project! Thanks for a chance to win!

...JUST BECAUSE YOU MADE ME LAUGH, DEB.  WE ALL KNOW ABOUT THAT "FEW $$" THAT GOES INTO THIS GREAT HOBBY.  HERE'S HOPING THAT THE LYB GOODIES COMING YOUR WAY ARE THE CAUSE OF MANY A SLEEPLESS NIGHT!

and finally....

**LISA ANDERSON** said:

My husband and I tried for 13 years to have a baby~ we were told by several doctors that I probably could not conceive, so we started filling out adoption paperwork. My husband broke his leg, and the next thing we know, I'm pregnant.  Since I was an older parent, we had a beautiful healthy boy when I was 43, I wanted to be able to leave him memories if we weren't here. My obsession began and now my son is stuck with it. Four years and 8 huge scrapbooks later, I'm hooked!  My friends all tease me that my son's wife is going to hate me when she gets 50 scrapbooks along with my son. I just pray she likes to scrapbook. :)

... BECAUSE THAT'S JUST A GREAT STORY!  AND AS BUSY A SCRAPBOOKER AS YOU ARE, LISA, WE THOUGHT YOU NEEDED SOME PRODUCT TO WORK WITH!!  WAY TO SUPPORT THE INDUSTRY!! :)

Thanks again for all your great comments, everyone!  Be watching for more great projects, contests, and just plain fun inspiration!

(If you are one of the winners listed, please email us at info@mylyb.com, along with your address... Your goodies await!)

All the best~
Sharon
